Need help building a bot

Hello, I am interested to build a bot that uses AWB. However, creating a bot page doesn't really give me a step-by-step guide. I tried asking SQL and Betacommand‎, both decided not to reply me. For details, see Wikipedia talk:Creating a bot#Planning to make a new bot OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:33, 22 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I don't use AWB, and I don't have any experience with AWB, so I can't really help you. I prefer to use completely automated bots with not GUIs. Sorry. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 01:57, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

ClueBot- Urgent

Urgent news: ClueBot doesn't seem to be working, it has not made a single edit in the past few hours or so. I'm not sure what's wrong, but vandalism is already picking up. STORMTRACKER 94 18:31, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just made one edit (source upload) STORMTRACKER 94 19:15, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, the power went out for an hour or so. I started it back up as soon as everything was back working ;) -- Cobi(t|c|b) 19:36, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Score list

User:ClueBot/Source#Score list contains "wanker" twice - once with a score of -20 and once with -15; the bot may be unintentionally subtracting 35 for each instance. Also while it contains most common obscenities it seems to omit "cunt", the occurence of which is very likely to be unconstructive; matching the sequence of letters itself is undesirable due to the Scunthorpe Problem, but matching it between word boundaries would seem to be OK... unless I've missed something? – Gurch 21:01, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, only the last score for a particular regular expression is counted. But, I will remove the duplicate, as it needs not be there. And I will add "cunt", between word bounderies. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 21:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
