Horner's?

A few weeks back, you confirmed that the complaint left on the Horner's Syndrome svg was a valid one. I've since brought the image to the graphics workshop on Commons, but it would really help if you could say what specifically is wrong with the image. Which number is misplaced? Where/what should it be? And could you answer on the workshop page? Thanks. DS (talk) 12:49, 14 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Presentation of Wikipedia

Hello Axl. I noticed that you made a comment that working on Wikipedia was now difficult due to style and placement changes that have happened. It should be possible to help you by making some changes in your own personal style sheet. That would allow you to have Wikilinks and text in what ever colour you choose. It is also possible to hide useless elements that may get in the way. For example the logo can disappear. I myself have decluttered my experience by hiding some Wikipedia interface links that I never use. Let me know if you are interested. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:22, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for offering to help, Graeme. Yes, I am certainly willing to try out your suggestions! (Although I am not optimistic.) Axl ¤ [Talk] 15:42, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
OK so I need to find out what you want to change. My first question is what skin are you using? I use Monobook, but anything should be customisable. The next question is what do you want to change? For example we can change the colour of Wikilinks (and some others), say to yellow by putting this in the stylesheet: "a { color: #ffff00;}". You can make the Wikipedia logo become invisible with "#p-logo a {background-image:none!important;}" but you may want to do something different like shrink it or move it out of the way. I came across the nomination for Boogeyman 2 and found myself quite disgusted by the low bar that was set- it seems like this was closer to GA standards, though I wouldn't have likely endorsed that promotion in itself. After seeing FANs time and time again, I'm a little put off by this one. When you have time, would you like to take a look at this and let me know if this was upheld correctly? I'm unsure if it is actually below par or if I'm simply disenchanted from past experiences. DARTHBOTTO talkcont 20:21, 30 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, DarthBotto. While I do still undertake FAC reviews, I am rather busy at the moment. Indeed I am currently in the process of an FAC review, and my review is already proceeding far too slowly. There are some concerns about my use of a source for content on vaginal epithelium. In hopes to declutter the talk page of the article, here are the references that I am using to support the content describing the multi-layered vaginal epithelium. I want to post it on the talk page, but hesitate because I have messed up the threads of the ongoing discussion there:

Best Regards, Barbara (WVS)   23:45, 12 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your input on the Vagina talk page. The references listed above are meant to support the content regarding the different cell types that make up the vaginal epithelium. I don't think any of them have anything to do with 'keratinization'. Sorry for the confusion. The discussion became so long that it was difficult to sort out the comments regarding the cell types from 'kerantinization'. I do believe that this is the longest talk page discussion that I've participated in that centered around the prefix 'non'. Best Regards, Barbara (WVS)   13:02, 13 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you

Thank you for your edits to Vagina. This article is being reviewed for GA status. The talk page contains numerous discussions about content and referencing. Most of the discussions are between two editors (me and another) and consensus can be difficult to establish. Any input you feel would be helpful is greatly appreciated. A third opinion is always helpful and more objective. Best Regards, Barbara (WVS)   09:58, 15 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gaelic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hemothorax

Hi Axl, I note from your userpage that you have a special interest in pulmonology but that you don't routinely do GAN reviews anymore. I have done a GA review for the Hemothorax page, but as a cardiac electrophyiologist this isn't my specialist area and I have asked for a 2nd opinion. User:David notMD has kindly agreed to help with this but acknowledges that he is not an expert in pulmonology either. How would you feel about breaking your usual rule and taking a quick glance at the page for overall factual accuracy? - the more gnomic work is already being tackled.
