The 2020 Green Party of British Columbia leadership election will take place between June 15 to 26, 2020 to elect a leader to replace Adam Olsen, who became interim leader following the resignation of Andrew Weaver.[1] Party members will vote online by ranked ballot if there are more than two candidates, and first-past-the-post if only two candidates run. Members 16 years of age and older are eligible to vote.[2]
The deadline to enter the race is April 15, 2020.[2] Candidates must pay a $16,000 entrance fee, and are limited to spending $300,000 on the campaign.[2]
Debates are planned to take place after April 30, in three regions of the province.[2]
On January 27, Sonia Furstenau announced her candidacy for the leadership.[3][1]
