Territory in geography section
editIn the last sentence of the first paragraph of the geography section, Germany's area is mentioned as 357,600 km2 (138,070 sq mi), which is obviously the rounded figure, as opposed to the exact figure given in the infobox. I think both figures should be consistent, preferably using the precise one for both. Also, there's no source for how much of Germany's total area makes up its land and how much its water area, respectively. Maxeto0910 (talk) 18:41, 28 October 2024 (UTC)

In the intro sentence, please add that Germany is a county in Western and Central Europe. Several sources have had Germany grouped as Western Europe. https://esa.un.org/MigFlows/Definition%20of%20regions.pdf https://archive.org/details/politicsinwester00hanc_0 2600:100C:A218:9A7B:E879:81B4:EADF:A345 (talk) 21:38, 30 November 2024 (UTC)

List of Notable Figures
editAdd Albert Einstein and create a list of Notable Figures, due to Germany's long history and significant scientific contributions that are well documented and are not WP:NOR to list. --WikiNerd202224 (talk) 08:56, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Such lists (and almost all laundry lists) are clutter—pointless at best, infuriating at worst—when included in encyclopedia articles, though. Doesn't List of Germans suffice? Remsense ‥ 论 09:01, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
"offers social security, a universal health care system, and tuition-free university education"
editThis applies to almost all developed countries, especially in Europe. Emphasizing this explicitly seems rather trivial and reads a bit awkward, as if we couldn't think of anything more notable or interesting about Germany to write in the lead. Maxeto0910 (talk) 03:37, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- I actually agree..... what would be notable if the country didn't like the United States. Moxy🍁 03:40, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
