For preferred GFDL compatability, here is the page history for the time it was on the WTCN disambiguation page before the split to here: (note that some did not pertain to the WTCN-CA elements)

Factual accuracy dispute

edit

I'm concerned about Mikedow (talk · contribs)'s recent edits to this article. His refrences cannot be proven (there are no links to any articles), and I've never heard of it being a WB affiliate before 2005, which is how the station website states it. Can anyone possibly do a little research, and confirm if the refrences at the bottom of the page are indeed true? —Whomp t/c 22:32, 29 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

WTCN had been airing Kids' WB programming before 2005, but they've only been a full WB affiliate for one season (2005-06). -- M (speak/spoken) 14:40, 30 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
I talked to Mikedow (talk · contribs), and he said that The Palm Beach County Library, where he says he gets the imformation and refrences, allows its patrons password access to NewsBank, which is probably some database. According to him, it is not availible online or the general public. He did say that the refrences are true, though. He mentions that he also added information to WWHB, WEAT, WLDI, and WFTL. I don't know if this breaks Wikipedia's policy, but here is the complete article from the Ft. Pierce Tribune:

WTCN to become latest WB affiliate Mike Sherrill Tribune Staff Writer

TREASURE COAST-- Children will get "Pok symbol 130 f "MS LineDraw" s 9 mon" 12 times a week, adults can enjoy "7th Heaven," and teens can watch Buffy slaying vampires. Viewers of the local television station WTCN can expect some changes this fall as the station becomes a new affiliate of the Warner Bros. network, said Hal Protter, senior vice president of affiliate relations for Warner Bros. The local station will showcase WB's primetime line-up and three hours of the Kid's WB programming Monday through Friday, Protter said. "We're looking to compete successfully with the big three networks," Protter said. "In some markets, like Miami, we're number one on Monday nights." The station will make its fall changes in about three to six weeks, said Bill Brothers, owner of WTCN. The local station has signed on to be a Nielsen-rated station, competing with other area channels for ratings. "This is looking to be a good time for the station," Brothers said. WTCN, broadcast channel 16 and Adelphia channel 12, is not offered by TCI Cablevision in Fort Pierce. Fort Pierce television viewers can pick up the station via an antenna on channel 16. Local programming will still have a home on the network, as will the classic movies and hunting and fishing shows, Brother said. The station also will show several Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coastal Conference college football games and feature local high school sports. Edition: St. Lucie County Copyright, 1999, E.W. Hopefully I haven't broken any laws and I have answered the question.
