Important

edit

It looks like I'll have to take a mild break (of unknown length) from Wikipedia. Want to know why? The dreaded word: Exams. I hope I'll have some time to check the site every now and again, though, for user page vandalism, etc. See ya then!!

Introduction

edit

Hello there! I'm still (almost) a newbie with Wikipedia; I created my user account on the 15th of February. However, I'm learning fast, and I'm already familiar with most of the policies regarding editing and vandalism; see the My Edits section for more on this.

Editing tip: It is not overly advisable for one to appear in any way pompous.

User Name

edit

At first glance, my user name/signature may appear to be composed of random characters. It's actually made up of a combination of my first initial and my nickname, plus a little '2' to make it unique (there's already someone with the username 'Mr. Ug' or something like that). I really like my signature as it is now, so please don't start telling me it breaches Wikipedia policy and needs to be changed.

Interests and Hobbies

edit

I tend to prefer scientific subjects rather than cultural ones, especially astronomy, molecular physics, chemistry and artificial intelligence. My hobbies include conservation, optical illusions, word games and, of course, contributing to Wikipedia.

My Favourite Coincidence

edit

I was searching in Google for Island of the Lizard King once, and I found "Lizard Island, king-sized bed" half-way down the list. Yikes.

My Edits

edit

You can access my edit count at the top-right of this page. I know, it's very poor, but I'm working on improving that. The article I'm most proud of my edits to is Swarm (1998 video game), which was previously (in my opinion) a total mess. I also regularly add comments in the featured picture candidates section.

Vandalism

edit

I've responded to several counts of nonsense/vandalism on Wikipedia so far, though I haven't had my user page vandalised yet. Here are a few links and templates I find useful in this area (I've copied them here for convenience).
