About Me

My IP: 69.125.246.230, 71.172.78.24 or 173.70.147.242 when I forget to sign in.

I have been editing on wiki since September 13, 2006. I changed my user name twice because of harassment.

I live in New Jersey, USA. I am a scientist by training. I received my MSc and PhD from the Graduate School of Arts and Science of New York University, NYC. My post-doctoral fellowship: The Rockefeller University and Yale University.

My interest in art comes from my father who was a well respected art historian.

I have been an art collector from very early age.

I edited 27 videos on the art and lives of the artists of the New York School artists. These videos, repeatedly shown on cable TV, were listed in >>Art on Screen, - A joint venture of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the J. Paul Getty Trust.<<

Some of these videotapes are also available to the public through The Smithsonian Institution Research Information System. Some of the videos are shown on YouTube.com and also linked to appropriate Wikipedia articles.

The videos were always distributed free of charge.

I hosted numerous videotaped artist seminars and spent the past two decades documenting the New York Painting and Sculpture Annuals, the participating artists and their art.

I have edited three major books on the following subjects: [1]

All the three books were "Highly recommended" by CHOICE, Current Reviews for Academic Libraries. One of the books won a gold medal, OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC TITLE ~CHOICE, Current Reviews for Academic Libraries, July/August 2003[2]

I am interested in sharing my knowledge in the field of 20th century visual arts in Wikipedia for two reasons:

1. I would like to document for the general public the art and life of all the artists who were highly regarded by their contemporaries and no longer alive.

2. I would like to inspire the public who are intimidated by contemporary art, to exercise and refine their judgment.

I realized that Wikipedia imitates life.

It means that we have to pay attention to the details. Never stop learning to differentiate in order to exercise correct judgment. This will allow us to make the best choices.

Since the Wikipedia is so large it is hard to avoid bullies[3].

I will remain humble, yet not intimidated while paying attention to Service.
