I appreciate your efforts, but adding ohiocenterforthebook.org to a bunch of articles, comes across as spamming. Please don't do that. See WP:External links for details. Kleuske (talk) 20:40, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Woodroar (talk) 21:19, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Woodroar. An edit that you recently made to James C. Kulhanek seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or another application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is almost always unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and your edit has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Woodroar (talk) 21:31, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

There was no AI chatbot or large language model used for the James C. Kulhanek article. I know that @Admiralboom-boom worked from copies of actual newspaper articles for that section concerning the portrait. The newspapers would be available in any public library that holds those archives. Additionally, specific citations to pages were provided. While I realize an abundance of caution is understandable with AI being so prevalent, ascertaining whether one's assumptions are correct before deleting an entire section of work seems preferable. That section seems like it should be reinstated. I didn't want to simply do it without explaining the reason here first. Thanks! Hamaxides (talk) 21:45, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would suggest taking this to the article Talk page. I can lay out a detailed reasoning for my removal there if you'd like. Woodroar (talk) 21:49, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! That would actually be a good learning experience. If something can be done to resolve your concerns, it's a win-win. Heading over to the article Talk :-) Hamaxides (talk) 21:54, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
