Cut & paste moves

edit

Hello MiewEN. I saw that you moved several pages by cutting and pasting, rather than using the move tab. If you cannot move a page using the move tab, you must use the WP:RM process. Cutting and pasting pages breaks our GFDL terms & conditions, and should not be done under any circumstances.

As the moves you are making are controversial, I recommend that you start a mass WP:RM on one of the article's talk pages if you wish to move all of them. Thanks, Number 57 11:04, 26 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Jessica Lange

edit

Please stop reverting my edits on the Jessica Lange main page. I have sourced and referenced all of my inclusions on this page. Also, I have added pertinent information regarding the awards she's recently received for her work on "American Horror Story" and for her career in film, television and on the stage. I have not listed "every award" she's won, as you suggested, but only the main industry awards cited on EVERY actors/actress wiki page. If you continue to revert my edits, I will report you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.26.74 (talk) 01:11, 9 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Also, I noticed that before even reviewing the text I revised, you automatically reverted back to it, not even proofing for any grammatical or factual errors, which there are plenty of. I honestly don't understand how you could consider it helpful to revert a page that's been revised using correct grammar and facts to an earlier revision that includes incorrect grammar and incorrect facts and is, at points, illegible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.56.26.74 (talk) 01:19, 9 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

CeCe Peniston Australian chart peaks

edit

Hi, I've added Australian chart peaks for 'Keep Givin' Me Your Love' and 'Finally' (album) on the CeCe Peniston discography page at your request, and have also added these peaks to the individual pages for those releases. These are her only top 100 ARIA charting releases that were not previously listed.

I wasn't familiar with "Eternal Love" charting in Australia, though see it's noted as charting on the ARIA Top 50 Club Tracks chart on its individual page. I know that chart exists, but I don't follow it.

It's not relevant to the article, but "We Got a Love Thang" had an unusual chart run in Australia: 70-68-72-76-84-out-out-36-72-69-91. I've always wondered what prompted it to re-enter the charts at #36 and then drop quickly.

CeCe may have also had some other releases charting outside the top 100 (I know 'Keep On Walkin' ' and 'I'm In the Mood' were definitely released as singles here; it's not exhaustive, but http://www.discogs.com/artist/5876-Ce-Ce-Peniston might also shed light on which other singles have Australian pressings), but these positions can only be obtained directly from ARIA, as positions beyond #100 were only available to industry.Nqr9 (talk) 08:03, 28 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Come Together clarification

edit

Hello MiewEN,

I'm willing to help clarify the first sentence of Come Together, but am not sure what you are having trouble with. John Lennon wrote the song. By agreement (described in the article Lennon-McCartney), all songs either of the two wrote while they were Beatles were credited to the both of them. Is there more you need? --John (User:Jwy/talk) 18:11, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi John, I have left the message at the relevant talk page. The original editor must specify which edition of the Sheff's publication used as the primary source in there, is the key for such statement as there are several editions of the work available and, possibly, quote the source. Because reading the title of the book in question (The Last Major Interview with John Lennon and Yoko Ono), I don't find it reliable to credit an author based on what the person (Lennon) himself said to be true. If so, then such statement should be at least supported by the other party too (i.e. McCartney). Greetings MiewEN (talk) 18:39, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I came to this topic via Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_The_Beatles#Who_wrote_what. While its "generally accepted" that Lennon wrote this "Come Together," you have a point that we are relying on a primary resource for this, which is frowned upon. Perhaps you could join the conversation on the Beatles Project page as your insight applies to quite a few songs, some less "generally accepted" than this one. I plan to briefly summarize the above there. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 17:57, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Pribeh obrazovky.ogg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Pribeh obrazovky.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
