Thanks. Also, I'm no expert but I read a biography of Wollstonecraft once where the author described the Opie portrait as of a "possibly" pregnant Wollstonecraft. The alt text you are inserting uses "a slightly pregnant woman". Not sure which of use your are referring to, but to put this in some context, the page I was referring to was in the user's userspace and not an article, per [{WP:NFCC#9]] Non-free files can only be used in articles. Question about an edit to the Teahouse/Guests...

Hey Werieth! I'm curious about this edit you made to the Teahouse guests page. Your edit summary says that you removed an NFCC#9 violation, yet the diff says that you only removed a couple underscores from the filename (ie you only changed [[File:Noun_project_6396|45px]] to [[File:Noun project 6396|45px]]). It was listed as using File:Master Chief in Halo 4.png which was removed with [4] however mediawiki was still seeing it as being used there, I guess a forcelinks purge would have done the same thing, however I already had AWB up removing other stuff it was just easier for me to hit save. NZ Flags

You did not put the flag image deletions up for discussion. You acted unilaterally. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia by concensus, not disctatorship. More fair-use images being reported as non fair-use

Accidentally turning on "helpme"

Hi. With this edit adding a NFC warning, you also made a number of minor punctuation changes to the user's talk ;page. The first of those changes replaced "&#123" with "{" at the start of a "helpme", but the "&123" was there for a reason, to deactivate the "helpme", and the effect of your change was to activate the "helpme" like this and add the talk page to CAT:HELP. I don't know if this was a side-effect of some automatic system like AWB, but I suggest that, even apart from unwanted effects like this, it is better not to tinker with pre-existing sections of people's talk-pages. Olympiacos women's volleyball and Olympiacos Women's Water Polo Team image issue

Hello Werieth,

I really don't understand how using Olympiacos emblem in two official Olympiacos departments fails the non-free image policy. This particular image that you removed is used in all Olympiacos' departments such as Olympiacos S.C. and Olympiacos Water Polo Club. The usage of a club's emblem for its official departments is something very common and standard for the wikipedia pages. I really can't undestand how using this image for particular departments violates the non-free image policy, while using it for others doesn't. It really doesn't make any sense whatsoever. And even if it does violate the above-mentioned policy for some inexplicable reason, what really matters is what can we do to address and solve this issue. So, I defer to your expertise and in case you can't do anything I will post to the Wikipedia:Media copyright questions as you suggested me. WP:NFCC#8 Contextual significance. Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding. There are three lines of text that support those non-free files, one reference and one citation needed. You are attempting to use that very little amount of primarily unsourced commentary to justify 8 files. There just isnt enough there to meet the bar required per WP:NFCC#3 and WP:NFCC#8. Hellenic Parliament Images

Hi Werieth,

Why did you remove the images (and as I can see, many complain about this)? I only used the images already uploaded in the Commons and used in other articles in wikipedia. If there is, indeed, a copyright problem, then you should also remove them from the respective articles for SYRIZA, DIMAR, KKE, etc. Unless I hear an explantion from you within 24 hours, I will undo your changes.

When I first read points 3, 8 and 10c, I thought that I could easily do it myself, but then I read about the tables ... I am trying to remove that part of the table with the symbols but I am doing sth wrong and it doesn't look right in the preview. Baseball in Puerto Rico (photos)

You have removed photos from Baseball in Puerto Rico several times. The photos relate directly to the subject matter that they accompany. Your editorial comment is that they are "missing a free use rationale for the article."

Perhaps you can explain this for me. My understanding is that free use rationale applies to the acceptance of the initial photo upload into Wikipedia. Once it is uploaded, the photos can be used by editors whenever it is appropriate. The editor of an article is not obliged to provide a free use rationale. Only the uploader of the photo, when he first uploads the photo into Wikipedia.

In addition, my use of the photos is specific, precise, and appropriate to the exact subject matter.

If my understanding is incorrect, I would welcome your comments on this. If you do not respond, I will contact other editors who might help to clarify this point. Thank you for your time and assistance.

You are completely off base. Each usage of non-free media requires its use to be justified and kept to a minimum. Each use must be in compliance with WP:NFC and have a rationale which clearly defines why the file must be used where it is being used. The uploader is only required to justify the initial usage (See WP:NFCC#7 which requires at least one use). Beyond that whomever adds the file to an article must create their own rationale that explains why the given article must have the specified file. Werieth (talk) 16:07, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

All of them accompany a parallel discussion in the text of Baseball in Puerto Rico; they were not randomly chosen. There is article discussion of each ballplayer, especially Satchel Paige.

The first image File:LBPRC.png is the logo of the Puerto Rican winter baseball league, known as the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente. This image appears next to a large section in my article, named "Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente," with several paragraphs that discuss this league.

You are correct there is a large issue with non-free media being miss-used. That is why I am trying to help others get informed about it. Lets take each file one at a time, feel free to comment inline. Can you explain why you must include these images and a link to the main article isnt sufficient?

For all of them, I would say that they illustrate the specific material in the article. Each image (including every ballplayer) corresponds exactly to the text.

The three images I believe are especially pertinent are:

• File:LBPRC.png -- because an entire section is devoted to it. The article is about baseball in Puerto Rico, and this is the logo of their league.
• File:Satchel Paige.jpg -- because Satchel Paige's participation was a historic event in Puerto Rican baseball.
• File:Criollos de Caguas logo.png -- because it illustrates one of the major teams, and there is no commercial infringement or negative usage of the photo.
