From Proto-Semitic *ṭaḥan-. Cognate with Akkadian 𒁲𒂊𒉡𒌝 (ṭênum) and Arabic طَحَنَ (ṭaḥana).

  2. to talk incessantly
  3. (colloquial) to have sex.
    • Tanach, Job 31:10, with translation of the American Standard Version:
      תִּטְחַן לְאַחֵר אִשְׁתִּי; וְעָלֶיהָ יִכְרְעוּן אֲחֵרִין.
