John Edward Gray
John Edward Gray (12. veebruar 1800 Walsall, Inglismaa – 7. märts 1875 London) oli Briti zooloog. Tema isa oli farmakoloog ja botaanik Samuel Frederick Gray ning tema noorem vend oli zooloog George Robert Gray.
Tema kirjeldatud loomaliikidele lisatakse autorilühend J. E. Gray ja taimeliikidele J.E.Gray.
Haridus- ja tööeluga seotu

Mõnda aega oli ta tegev botaanikuna, kuid arvati, et selle jättis ta kõrvale, kuna ei osutunud valituks Linné Ühingu liikmeks.
1824. aastal asus Gray tööle Briti Muuseumi, kus aitas John George Childrenil roomajatekollektsiooni koostada. Briti Muuseumis töötamise ajal avaldas ta rohkem kui 500 publikatsiooni.
