Begin by buffing Ashley's weapon with Soil Fusion and then attacking the Elemental with an Edged or Blunt weapon. It can use the "Thunderbolt" spell so buffing Ashley's armour (using Sylphid Topaz's and Djinn Ambers) with air affinity is a good idea.
Type B
The same strategy used for the Boss Air Elemental still holds. At later stages, or on the second playthrough, strategy will not even be required.
