Chocobo Shield (チョコボシールド, Chokobo Shīrudo?) is a recurring shield in the Final Fantasy series.

The Chocobo Shield is available in the Japanese-only mobile version. If the player has found the eight Gysahl Greens from around the world and given them to the Fat Chocobo in the Chocobo Forests, they will receive the Chocobo Shield by talking to the Fat Chocobo aboard the Lunar Whale. The shield has 5 defense, 5 magic defense, 50 evasion, and 10 magic evasion. It grants +5 to Agility and resistance to Confuse. The shield is equippable by anyone except for the Dark Knight.

Chocobo Shield is a high-ranked shield that provides 12 Evade, 2 Speed, and teaches Gil Snapper for 300 AP to Vikings. It can be obtained from the Bazaar from the "Soot-stained Shields C" set.

Etymology
The name "chocobo" derives from a Japanese brand of chocolate malt ball by Morinaga, ChocoBall (チョコボール, Chokobōru?). The mascot for this product is Kyoro-chan (キョロちゃん?), a bird who says "kweh".
食う / くう / kuu is a rough way to say "eat", whose volitional casual form is 食え / くえ / kue ("let's scoff 'em down!"), leading to Kweh!
