The Iron Maiden is a secret dungeon in Vagrant Story. This hidden location is where the Müllenkamp cult imprisoned Asura to perform experiments on her, thus filling the dungeon with evil. The dungeon is divided between three levels going down. The second level is shaped like the Rood Inverse, and is only accessible in the second playthrough. It can only be accessed from the Keep.

Etymology
iron maiden is a torture device first attested in the 19th century and believed to have medieval origins. It appears as a human-shaped chamber with scores of interior spikes meant to impale a victim from all sides when closed. Although no such devices existed in the Dark Ages and feudal Europe, the iron maiden may have been inspired by Ancient Greek torture methods. It is nonetheless popular in medieval fantasy fiction. Every room in the dungeon is also named after torture devices or methods.
