The Knight is a job class in Final Fantasy III. It is gained from the Fire Crystal. Knights are mighty warriors who are experts in close-range combat. They are dependable allies who can defend themselves, as well as shield fellow party members during harsh ordeals. Knight is considered a powered-up version of the Warrior job.

Abilities

Famicom version

  • Command ability - None

Though if a Knight uses Defend command, they will take only 1 damage.

The Knight will automatically take physical attacks for any allies in critical status.

3D Remake version

  • Command ability - White Magic Level 1

Provides a defensive bonus to the Knight that varies depending on job level, and is calculated using the following formula:

Job level ranges between 1 and 99, so the Knight receives between 58% and 40.2% damage when defending.

Automatically takes physical attacks for any allies in critical status.

Pixel Remaster version

  • Command ability - Guard

Provides a defensive bonus to the Knight that varies depending on job level. In this version, Guard can also reduce magical attacks.
