The Scorpion Tail is a hammer in Final Fantasy XII. In the original version it is the strongest hammer in the game, and better than the strongest axe, Golden Axe, even after considering the other stat variations. In the Zodiac versions some of the differences between the weapon types are less significant, and Scorpion Tail's attack increase over the Golden Axe is much smaller making the better of the two arguable (although Scorpion Tail is still found on the higher numbered license). However, the upgraded Scorpion Tail, Vrscika, is stronger than both and the ultimate weapon for the Foebreaker.
