Alpha Mail. The postal evolution.

Alpha Mail is a delivery company featured in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Description

Alpha Mail is a global express courier service with warehouses placed around the United States of America and a fleet of delivery vehicles.

Grand Theft Auto IV

In Grand Theft Auto IV, it has two locations: a depot on both sides of Jackhammer Street in the Industrial neighborhood of the Liberty City borough of Bohan, and a sizeable warehouse in Port Tudor in Alderney. Furthermore, it maintains a presence at Francis International Airport, with scattered unit load devices occasionally spawning featuring Alpha Mail logos and serial markings, noting their activity as an express courier.

The Alpha Mail logo may be seen on Mule trucks in GTA IV, and in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, delivery vans named directly after the company are found bearing the company livery.

The company is one of the official sponsors of the CNT program I'm Rich, and is featured on the screen of the BAWSAQ building at Star Junction.

The company likely rivals with Liberty State Delivery and Post OP. Each delivery company utilizes different vehicles: the Mule for Alpha Mail, the Yankee for LSD, and the Benson for Post OP.

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

In Grand Theft Auto V, one of the company's warehouses is located in the Los Santos International Airport area while another is located in the Port of Los Santos. Despite its listing on the BAWSAQ building at Star Junction in GTA IV, the player cannot access their stocks for purchase.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Port of Los Santos warehouse location was replaced by The Vinewood Car Club, as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update.

Influence

Alpha Mail could be based on global express courier and logistics operator DHL. There is a real-life American mail carrier also named Alpha Mail; however, any connection between the two appears to be purely coincidental.

Trivia

  • Alpha Mail's name is a pun on "alpha male," a dominant male in a group.
  • The company slogan is "Always Comes First", referring to the letter "alpha" being the first in the Greek alphabet.
  • On the company logo, the box being carried is being held the wrong-side up, subtly suggesting their service quality might be lacking.
