The HODL is a Galaxy Super Yacht featured in The Contract update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
Description
The yacht is a "Pisces" model of Galaxy Super Yacht owned by Ben Brooks, a cryptocurrency billionaire and one of the three owners of a copy Dr. Dre's phone. It makes an appearance in The High Society Leak as Brooks' escape point if the GTA Online Protagonist is unable to shoot down his helicopter in Lago Zancudo. The Protagonist boards the yacht using a Seashark and, after making their way through the yacht and Brooks' security, kills Brooks at the bow of the ship. It will still appear if the helicopter is downed, but the player has no need to board it in that case.
The name of the yacht, HODL, is a commonly used term and meme by cryptocurrency investors, used to say that they will "HODL" or "hold" their investment and refuse to sell. It is also used as an acronym for "hold on for dear life", mirroring the same meaning as the term itself.[1]
