Trailer Park Mafia

Marty's Gang, better known as the Trailer Park Mafia, is a redneck gang/dixie mob in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, based in a trailer park surrounding the Sunshine Autos Car Showroom, circa 1984.

Description

The gang members were depicted as stereotypical rednecks. Their hair is styled into mullets and beards, and they wear muscle shirts embroidered with the Confederate flag or tank tops, blue jeans, trucker caps, and work boots.

History

Background

Their influence spanned to Vice City's poorer communities, bringing further suffering to this bracket of the city's population. They specialized in extortion, but were also known for loan sharking, prostitution, and dealing drugs.

Events of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

Their leader, Marty Jay Williams, was murdered by Victor Vance in order to prevent Marty from kidnapping his own wife, Louise. Victor and his brother Lance then acquired the gang's businesses. Shortly after, Marty's cousin attempted to avenge his death only to be killed by Victor.

Between 1984 and 1986, the trailer park was demolished and a large vacant lot took its place. The Trailer Park Mafia had apparently completely disbanded by this time after losing their leader and all of their businesses and influence in Vice City.

Trivia

  • The gang's preferred vehicle is the Admiral, though they are seen driving Bobcats in some missions instead.
  • Like all gangs in GTA VCS (and in the entire GTA series), if the player steals their car, they will turn hostile to the player.
  • The Trailer Park Mafia is the smallest gang in GTA VCS in terms of membership.
  • It is interesting to note that the Trailer Park Mafia are not named in the game itself nor the game's manual. They are referred as "Marty's guards" in the game.
  • After the mission "To Victor, the Spoils", the gang will simply change models to that of the Vance Crime Family members found in the Protection Racket, Loan Shark and Prostitution businesses. The internal files state that they are the same gang, changing model names from "GANG7A/GANG7B" to "PGANG7A/PGANG7B" after they are wiped out, the latter being those of the Vance Crime Family.
