Vader

Great for cruising in the dirt or running an illegal across the border.

The Shitzu Vader is a streetfighter featured in The Ballad of Gay Tony, Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Design

The Ballad of Gay Tony

The bike's overall design appears to be inspired by various Kawasaki naked bike models (which include the Versys, Ninja, Z-series and ER-6n), featuring a similar shaped body and seat layout. It also takes design cues from other standard bikes such as the Honda Hornet, Yamaha Fazer, and to a lesser extent, the KTM 200 Duke.

The Vader shares a similar profile and some of its details with the PCJ 600, but makes use of unique features to distinguish itself from the aforementioned bike. The front section features a large fender mounted on the fork legs, while the upper side has a small fairing with the frontal lamps and the small glass on top. The upper clamp/plate holds two independent handlebars with small chrome mirrors on either side and a small panel with analog dials on the centre. The main body is rather basic and features a large fuel tank with a seemingly straighter profile compared to the one on the PCJ 600, while the engine bay features a front radiator, four exhaust tubes running towards the lower side and a silver body frame. The rear section is mostly occupied by two black seats for the occupants, long frames holding the foot pegs for both the rider and the passenger, and a single red tail lamp on the end. The rear wheel is covered by a carbon-fibre mudguard and connected by a dual-sided swing-arm with a single suspension spring, with the chain drive and sprocket on the left side.

There are two variations of the Vader:

  • The first one has side-mounted exhaust tubes and a black frame on the rear, holding the turn signals and the license plate.
  • The second one has internally-mounted exhausts under the seat and no rear black frame.

The Vader spawns in a variety of primary colours applied on the front fender, fuel tank and rear section, as well as secondary colours applied on the rims. It uses the same wheel design as the PCJ 600, being three-spoke rims with medium-profile tyres, with the rear one being also wider.

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

The bike's initial design and influence remain identical to its previous iteration, albeit adding "Vader" markings on either side of the fuel tank, alongside a kanji. Again, the bike can spawn in the two variations listed above. In the enhanced version, the panel on the upper plate uses updated analog dials also used on the PCJ-600 and most sports bikes.

Colour distribution is a bit different, as the bike only has a primary colour for the front fender, fuel tank and rear section, while the rims use a dedicated wheel colour, which can be painted by selecting a custom rear wheel, applying a colour and change back to the stock wheel (as it won't reset to the default alloy color). It retains the same rim design and the wider rear tyre.

Performance

The Ballad of Gay Tony

Acceleration and braking are average, but the top speed is impressive. The Vader does not handle as sharp as other bikes. However, thanks to its stability, this bike is more suitable for a long distance trip. It is also a great choice for those who does not want the heavy weight of a chopper-style motorcycle, as it is very lightweight. Its short wheelbase and height make it an easy bike for doing a wheelie.

The bike is powered by what seems to be a 4-cylinder engine, which is supported by the 4-2 exhaust manifold (4 into 2) seen on the bike. It has a high-revving and loud engine sound, derived from the PCJ 600.

Grand Theft Auto V and Online

The Vader returns with minimal performance changes, other than a slightly-lowered curb weight of 230 kg, and tweaks to handling and turning cycles. The top speed remains the same, but its acceleration seems to be more responsive due to better traction; a result of the alterations to the handling system.

Again, the bike is powered by what seems to be a 4-cylinder engine, which is supported by the 4-2 exhaust manifold (4 into 2) seen on the bike. The engine noise is the same as the PCJ-600, appearing to be a high-pitched version of the one used in the Sanchez.
