The Vercotti Crime Family contact is an unnamed main character in Grand Theft Auto.
History
Background
The contact represents the Vercotti Crime Family to give jobs to the GTA Protagonist under orders of Robert "Bubby" Seragliano or by himself.
Events of Grand Theft Auto
In 1997, he hires the protagonist to do certain small-time criminal jobs for the family via payphones in south Park in Liberty Island, as well as working against their rivals, the Sonetti Crime Family. The contact also owns many different vehicles which he uses to give "secret missions" to the protagonist.
It is later revealed that the contact was having an affair with his brother's wife. Eventually, the contact's brother finds out and hires a bodyguard to help him murder the contact, but they are both found and killed by the protagonist. He later arranges a meeting between the protagonist and Sonetti's right-hand man Cabot, who warns the protagonist to stay away from Sonetti's businesses.
The contact once again hired the protagonist to do more jobs for the family from the payphones at the Fort Law Park in New Guernsey. These jobs include serving as a getaway driver for a National Reserve Bank robbery, driving the mayoress to Bubby at Vega's place, and disrupting one of Sonetti's drug deals despite the previous warning from Cabot.
The contact later orders the protagonist to blow up a Counthash that is driving through town with Model Cars that are fixed with bombs. After destroying the car, the contact reveals that the person who was driving the Counthash was his mother and he wanted her dead because she was hassling him for rent. He later orders the protagonist to kill the Vercotti family associate Seymour Reamer for refusing to stash Sonetti's stolen merchandise, and later, to kill Don Sonetti himself.
While on drugs, the contact has an extreme god complex as seen during one of his jobs giving by the protagonist from his Itali. He orders the protagonist to blow himself up inside a Train to "show the world that he is the only true God". After the protagonist is Wasted and taken to the nearest hospital, the contact apologizes for the lastest job and says he's impressed that they survived.
As the protagonist moves to San Andreas shortly after, this is the last time the contact appears.
