The Yosemite took a classic pickup truck and slammed it so low a manhole could pop its bumper like a bottle cap. But now Benny's here to raise the suspension and pump your ego. Want bullbars? You got it. Don't want a roof? It's gone! As of now, there's no such thing as "too far," "too much" or "too combustible." Eligible for customization at Benny's Original Motor Works.Benny's Original Motor Works description.
The Declasse Yosemite Rancher is an off-road truck featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Los Santos Summer Special update.
Influence
The Yosemite Rancher is an off-road variant of the Yosemite, having strong influences from the 1967–1972 second-generation Chevrolet K-series, evident by the all-wheel-drive powertrain, but also a shortened wheelbase, squared rear-view mirrors, larger arches, and a lack of chrome trim on the sides and trunk.
Liveries
- The "Dash Stripes" livery is loosely based on the stock livery of the 1977 GMC Sierra Desert Fox.
- The "Sunset Stripes" livery is loosely based on the 1977-1981 Ford "Free Wheeling" appearance package.
Design
Compared to the regular version, the Yosemite Rancher remained mostly identical, but features an upgraded suspension system. Its appearance and name suggests it is related to the Rancher, perhaps as either a predecessor (as per its older appearance) or cousin model. By default, the sun strip and the chrome badging on the tailgate are no longer present, but can be added back through Benny's Original Motor Works. Several of its modifications strip most of the standard parts, converting it into a lightweight truck; other modifications can strengthen its resemblance to a Blazer. Depending of the options, it can have functional front high-beam lights and a rear third-brake light.
Same as the Yosemite, the color distribution is the primary color applied on the body, and the secondary color on the lower side and the trim color on the interior, which is reused from the Bobcat XL. It uses a unique set of six-spoke wheels with custom Atomic off-road tires.
Performance
The Yosemite Rancher's performance in terms of speed is adopted from its regular variant that is essentially a sleeper, which shows up having excellent top speed but less acceleration due to its increased weight, though its top speed is inferior than the regular Yosemite. Otherwise, it can be great at cornering on both tarmac and off-road while maintaining good control.
For off-roading, the Yosemite Rancher is adept like the Kamacho, as it can perform well on uneven terrains and climb hills without difficulty. However, caution should be taken, as sometimes climbing down can be treacherous due to its wheelbase being shorter than its regular variant.
In getaway and shootout situations, bulletproof tires are recommended to be installed, as it has bigger tires that are more susceptible to damage. However, if modifying it as a getaway vehicle, it is not recommended to remove its roof. Crash deformation is acceptable, and it can withstand many collisions before the engine fails.
In races, it is not very recommendable for high-speed off-road races due to its speed lower than the regular Yosemite, which means it can be competitive only against the Caracara 4x4 and the Brawler. However, it has great handling performance, so it can be useful for some off-road races that require handling on tight turns thanks to its short wheelbase and greater cornering.
Like the regular version, the Yosemite Rancher is also powered by a single-cam V8 engine with carburetors, powering all wheels through a 4-speed gearbox. Again, the Yosemite Rancher seems to belch out more exhaust fumes while idling than most cars.
While the "Truck Door" modifications are technically spoilers, they do not offer increased traction due to a flag that prevents this change.[1]

Locations
- Can be converted from a Yosemite at Benny's Original Motor Works for $700,000.
Rockstar Games Social Club
- Incorrect listed as purchasable, vehicle cannot be purchased directly
- Incorrectly listed as "super-moddable"
- Vehicle is "super-modded" version of Yosemite
Oversights
- After converting from a regular Yosemite, the window glass of the passenger-side door will be missing. The glass will return once the player applies any custom door option and reverting back to the original doors.
- After purchasing a hood deflector, causing enough damage to the hood of the vehicle may cause the hood to disappear entirely. The hood will return once the player repairs or recalls the vehicle.
- None of the custom Exhaust options have a shaking animation.
Radio Stations
- In Grand Theft Auto Online, the default radio stations are grouped by genre. The Yosemite Rancher uses the "Rap" group which can play:
- West Coast Classics
- Radio Los Santos
- The Lab
- Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM (Enhanced Editions only. May not play due to a three station limit within the group)
- IFruit Radio (Enhanced Editions only. May not play due to a three station limit within the group)

Trivia
- As the vehicle assigns similar parts to lowriders, some unintended effects may occur when customizing the vehicle:
- Selecting the "Hood Accesories" category produces a hydraulic sound similar to lowriders, as most of them have their tanks underneath and they trigger the rear hydraulics for a better view.
- Installing a "Truck Bed" option will have the same effect to that of the Lowrider speakers, despite the vehicle itself lacking any speaker or ICE modulations. In addition, opening the tailgate through the Interaction Menu while the vehicle is stationary and having the radio on will make the radio less muffled.
