Minamoto Kou's last words to Yashiro Nene before being exorcised, Chapter 120.
Minamoto Kou (源光, Minamoto Kou?), is first and foremost, a variant of Minamoto Kou whose very existence has been altered thanks to the actions of Kako and Mirai, which led to the creation of the New Present.
In this New Present, is a student at Kamome Academy's Middle School Division and a member of a renowned family of exorcists, the Minamoto Clan, the same as his original counterpart. He is also the younger brother of Teru and the older brother of Tiara.
Unlike his original counterpart, however, he does not know who Yashiro Nene is, but he is best friends with Mitsuba Sousuke. After regaining his original iteration's memories, he knows who Nene is, but is sadly turned into one of the Red House's victims in the process, and is tragically exorcised by his brother Teru when he attempted to free Nene from his grasp.
Appearance
This iteration of Minamoto Kou appears similarly to his original iteration, with his signature blond hair, blue eyes, and a single piercing that has a talisman dangling below it.
When he first appears, he is wearing his Middle School uniform, with the addition of an octopus hat above it due to him hosting a Takoyaki stand during the School Festival.
Later on, when he is at home, and when he later accompanies Mitsuba Sousuke to go to Kamome Gakuen and rescue his kouhai, he wears a black tracksuit with accompanying black shorts and sneakers. After having his hand touched by Yugi Tsukasa, he wraps a white bandage lining over his arm, which unfurls when he became possessed by him later on.
Possessed
Speaking of possessed, when Tsukasa takes control of him, his face can be altered to feature a huge gaping hole where his eyes would be. Said hole also has a set of large, unusual-looking eyelashes above it.
Supernatural
Later on, after he was captured by Yugi Amane, he is turned into one of the captured souls now under the Red House's control. Just like both Yugi Tsukasa and Yugi Amane, and similar to his possessed form, he has a gaping hole over where his face should be. Unlike with his possessed form, the sharp eyelashes and fanged teeth are absent and the hole covers more of his face.
Personality
As a human
Just like his original iteration, this iteration of Minamoto Kou is an exorcist, and thus is a knowledgeable and tactical person when it comes to the supernatural. Also, it seems that he has far more knowledge of all things supernatural than his original iteration, as he is seen many times explaining the supernatural to Mitsuba Sousuke, who isn't in the know when it comes to such things.
Additionally, he is also brave and determined to finish things if they start, as he was willing to play a game of tag with Yugi Tsukasa, knowing that he might end up possessed by him, which did happen in the end, all so that he could give Mitsuba a chance to find the Yorishiro and destroy it, hopefully pulling Tsukasa back to the Far Shore as a result, though that didn't happen in the end.
This version of Kou is also known to be persistent when it comes to making friends, as he was able to make Mitsuba his friend after a long time of annoying him and being ignored by him. This was something his original iteration never managed to do, thanks to having to come home early to do his homework, household chores and looking after his sister.
As a supernatural
If you die here, you become its prisoner, trapped in the bowels of the Red House.
This house uses the souls of the people it captures to lure in new prey from the Near Shore.
The Yugi Amane of this world was once one of those people.

While under the influence of the Red House, Kou acted liked his usual self, if only to lure Yashiro Nene into inevitably becoming one of the denizens. Additionally, it seemed like he had all of a sudden accepted his original iteration's memories and used them to further convince Nene that he is himself after all. Finally, when he had brought her to the well in order to turn her into one of them, he became stern and emotionless, ignoring her pleas and cries as he tried to throw her down the well. He claimed that in order for Nene to understand the Red House, she had to become one of them, quipping it as making her "understand" the Red House soon.
Abilities
Exorcism Abilities
As an exorcist, Minamoto Kou is skilled in the use of both his abilities, and in wielding Raiteijou against any kind of supernatural. However, he is still an exorcist in training, and as such, his inexperience shows as he was ultimately taken possession of by Yugi Tsukasa as a result of his earlier dismissal of him as a "minor supernatural" before he stood around and found out.
Partial Memory Retention
Unlike with Nene, Teru and Akane, but more similar to Aoi and Mitsuba, Kou does not fully remember his original iteration's memories, however they come up in dreams that have started since the School Festival, particularly those of him having dinners with both Teru and Tiara. This is however, similar to Nene's partial memory retention prior to her having full remembrance of her memories.
Additionally, it also manifests in some of his actions, like how he had accidentally prepared only three dining sets on the table, despite both his mother being alive, and his father coming home later. When his mother asked why he did that, Kou just answered that he "felt like it". He also was able to cook food so well that his mother told him that he is already a better chef than her, a further act caused by his partial memory retention.

Remember!
In Chapter 118, Kou's dreams and recollections become more frequent, and also involved his original iteration manifesting as a shadow, telling Kou to remember. However, Kou is trying to resist against the voice and wants to forget about it as much as he could.
Hearing voices
In Chapter 117, possibly as a result of being possessed by Yugi Tsukasa a chapter prior, Kou can hear a ghastly voice emanate from within his mind when he approached the Red House. At first, Kou is unaware of this voice in his head as when he heard it, he assumed that it was Mitsuba Sousuke speaking to him.
Chapter 118 confirms this to actually be the voice of his original iteration, becoming manifest in his dreams as a result of his ever-increasing recollections of his original iteration's memories. Whether Yugi Tsukasa's possession helped enable his dreams or the manifestation of his original iteration in said dreams remain unknown.
