The Peruvian Salamander was a variety of Fire Dwelling Salamander native to Peru.

Description

This type of Salamander uniquely had purple skin. Peruvian Salamanders were particularly vulnerable to the Full Body-Bind Curse, the Softening Charm, and the Freezing Spell. However, they were resistant to the Severing Charm and the Fire-Making Spell.
