Crymini (pronounced Cry-mini)[1] is a sinner demon[1] and an upcoming character in Hazbin Hotel. She made her first appearance as a cameo in the series' pilot.
Appearance
Crymini is a petite demon who resembles an anthropomorphic spotted hyena. She has a muzzle with a small black nose, and large black ears with the insides being desire-colored. Her eyes have yellow sclera and hot pink irises, and have maroon freckles under them. She also wears minimal makeup which consists of dark gray eyeshadow.
Her rather tuft-filled fur is off-white, with maroon freckle-like spots on her left arm and leg, and long gray-beige hair with desire-colored accents, kept into a mohawk-like ponytail. She also has a large, bushy tail which is colored in a reversed pattern to her hair.
Crymini's attire is punk rock-inspired. She wears a large, spiked black choker around her neck, and a ripped, dark burgundy cardigan over a desire mini-dress with a skull in the center. Her hands have dark burgundy fingerless gloves, and a single ripped, black thigh-high stocking is worn on her right leg.
Personality
Crymini's personality is still in development, with Vivziepop stating that she needs to figure out how Crymini will eventually fit into the narrative. Crymini is described as a delinquent and rebellious punk kid, akin to a "'90s kid character".[1][2]
Abilities
- Immortality - As a Sinner, Crymini is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when she died, thus can not die of old age and other natural causes. She also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, she can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry.

Nothing is known about Crymini's past except that she died in the 1990s.[1]

- Vivziepop describes Crymini as "the young one of the hotel", as the other characters are all much older than her.[3]
Development
- A previous design of Crymini was originally a planned character for Vivziepop's webcomic ZooPhobia, and was supposed to appear in the comic's "Angels and Demons" arc.
- In the previous version of Crymini's design, the collar she was wearing had the word "sin" on it, and she had a more wolf-like design.
- In 2015, Vivziepop's headcanon voice for Crymini was Brittnay Matthews from the film The Most Popular Girls in School.[4]
- During mid-2017 development streams for the pilot, Vivziepop described Crymini's relationship with Husk as "like father and daughter", and implied that Husk would eventually begin to take responsibility for her.[5]
- She described the relationship between the two as reminding her of that of Ron and April from Parks and Rec.[6]
- Vivziepop has also illustrated the two at the hotel bar together.[7]
- During mid-2017 development streams for the pilot, Vivziepop talked about how she had considered the possibility of giving Crymini a boyfriend, who would have the form of a small anthropomorphic plush toy, which she would carry around. Vivziepop is unsure if this is a concept that will carry through to the show, however.[8]
