Mrs. Mayberry is a sinner demon and minor character in Helluva Boss who made her debut in "Murder Family".
She hired Blitzo and his crew to kill Martha, a woman whom she caught having an affair with her husband in her debut episode. In "Apology Tour", Mrs. Mayberry and Martha appear to be living together.
Appearance
Human
When she was a human, Mrs. Mayberry was a slim, tan-skinned woman with both sandy-green eyes and sandy-blonde waist-length hair which was more fluffy and curly at the lower portion. Tied around the back of her head was an accessorized sandy-green headscarf, and she also sported cherry-red lipstick on her lips.
Her attire consisted of oval-framed mustard-yellow glasses over her eyes, a long-sleeved cherry-printed cream blouse with a white peter-pan collar, black tights under a high-waisted, teal-blue maxi skirt with two gold buttons, and a pair of black flats.
Mrs. Mayberry's accessories included a set of small, round cherry-red earrings, and a gold-framed sandy-green brooch which adorned the front of her blouse.
Sinner
As a sinner demon, Mrs. Mayberry retains her body shape, but with more devilish features. Her skin is a light violet, her hair is messier and is colored in a light gray, her ears are larger and pointier, her lips are black with sharp yellow teeth inside, and her eyes sport red sclera and slit yellow pupils. When angry, her eyes glow with a red light and her hair starts waving around her head.
She gains a pointed tail, and has goat-like features such as horns and lavender-colored hooves. In addition, her headscarf is now black.
For clothing, she now sported cat-eyed glasses, diamond-shaped earrings and a yellow-tipped tear drop-shaped pin—all colored in salmon-pink. She wears a dark mauve-pink turtleneck with torn edges and salmon-pink stitching, alongside a high-waisted black maxi skirt that is torn at the hem, and it also features both salmon threaded seams and two salmon buttons.
Personality
Before her death, Mrs. Mayberry was a cheerful and kind person who had a passion for teaching children.
However, when she saw that her husband cheated on her, she snapped and was filled with murderous intent, although she was immediately horrified of killing him in front of her students after coming to her senses.
After her death, Mayberry became embittered to the thought of ending up in Hell for one act of blind rage after living a lifetime of otherwise good behavior. She was also out for revenge on the woman who was responsible for her death, which is why she went to Blitzo for this task. However, she seems to have changed her mind towards Martha sometime later, given how both women are now living together.
It seems she still has a sense of humor, joking about how the situation was messed up, but she paid for it.
Abilities
- Immortality - As a Sinner, Mrs. Mayberry is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when she died, thus can not die of old age and other natural causes. She also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, she can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry.
- Peak strength - Even before her death, she possessed incredible strength, able to throw one of her students with enough force to break through the school roof. Though, this could be a result of her anger.
- Bioluminescence - When angry, she glows red.
- Flowing hair - When angry, her hair flows in a similar manner as fire.
Skillset
- Teaching - Being an elementary school teacher, she is shown to have the capability to educate them.
- Musical talent - She leads the school day with a song she encourages the class to sing along to.
- Gun proficiency - Although off-screen, she is capable of handling a gun, as when she someone and then herself.
- Chainsaw proficiency - Although off-screen, she is capable of handling a chainsaw.

Trivia
- Her last name, Mayberry, when used as a metaphor, means "a utopian setting" or "a perfect place to live". Whereas, as a noun, it is an ornamental bramble that bears white flowers and edible yellow fruit.
- She is the first denizen of Hell in the series who has been shown in both their living human form and the demon form they took on after their death.
- She apparently did not have children, as she told her husband they could have had a family.
- She is first client of I.M.P shown in Helluva Boss, not counting those from the pilot, which is not canon.
- Despite Faustisse stating that sinners have different voices when they were still human,[note 1] this does not seem to be the case for Mrs. Mayberry. Because of this, it is possible that this information has been retconned, and is not canon.
- It is also stated that after sinners descend to Hell, they change their names.[1] It is unknown if Mrs. Mayberry did this since she was never addressed as anything other than "the newest client".
- According to Vivziepop, Mrs. Mayberry may return in a future season, explaining that she wanted a lot of characters to return in the final season but mentioned that there was an opportunity to bring her back in season two.[2]
- Mrs. Mayberry does reappear in season two, during the episode "Apology Tour" where she is seen living with Martha. It is implied that they are in a relationship, based on Martha's comments after Blitzo gave her a knowing look.
