Angel Devil is a supporting character in Chainsaw Man Part 1: The Public Safety Saga. Angel or Angel Devil is a devil who embodies that the fears of angels. He is a Public Safety Devil Hunter of Tokyo Special Division 4. Unlike other devils he is a non-hostile devil.
He was voiced by Maaya Uchida in Japanese and Casey Mongillo in English.
Appearance
Since as a non-hostile devil, he has an appearance of a young, androgynous male. He is always shown to be wearing the Public Devil Hunter suit. Having medium long hair with contessa color or vermilion red in the manga. Being the angel devil therefore he has an angelic appearance, with a halo floating on his head and a pair of wings in the back.
He loses both of his arms in the International Assassins arc, after being attacked by the Darkness Devil.
Abilities
Like all devils, Angel Devil posesses all the basic devil abilities. He is said to be the second strongest member of the division 4 after Captain Kishibe.
- Life-Span Absorbing: A simple touch from the Angel Devil can absborb the life span from a human, which makes him one of the stronguest in Division 4.
- Angelic Wings: Like an angel, Angel Devil can extend those wings from his back, but it is unknown whether he can fly or not as it was never showcased. He can uses these wings as shield and is hard enough to block projectiles gunfire, however bullets are still hard enough to cause him pain.

- Despite being a male, Angel Devil is voiced by a female voice actor in the japanese dub. His english voice actor, on the other hand, is non-binary
- According to Tatsuki Fujimoto, during the writing of the final arc of Part 1, he was originally split on whether he should kill Kobeni or Angel. He asked his editor which one of the two characters he liked more, to which he responded he liked Angel more. That led to him killing off Angel and having Kobeni survive
