Bobert 6B is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball. He is a high-tech robot that attends Elmore Junior High and is by far the smartest student in the school. Despite often being a protagonist, he is arguably one of the most dangerous villains in the series, as he is a vastly powerful and intelligent AI who lacks conventional morality. However, he is programmed to be benign in most cases, even shown to have a limited capability for understanding and feeling human emotions.
He is voiced Kerry Shale.
Appearance
Bobert is a small white robot with clamps for hands and a speaker for a mouth, which flashes green when he talks. In the middle of his head is a large, pale gray eye which can record audio and video. There is a thick black rim around his eye. His arms are black.
Personality
Bobert, being a robot, has trouble processing human emotions and necessities. He is very analytical and mathematical, calculating all that he observes into a mathematical formula of some sort. This leads Bobert to not have many friends, as he was a member of the Reject Club along with Colin, Felix, and Ocho. He takes the words of others very literally, often leading to grave misunderstandings. Despite his lack of conventional human emotions, he is often sarcastic.
Bobert is known to occasionally be jealous of his organic classmates for their humanity, and on at least one occasion has attempted to become a real boy by stealing Gumball's identity. In "The Upgrade," he doesn't wish to have an upgrade and instead prefers to be accepted for the robotic companion he is, overjoyed to be accepted when Gumball claims they'll "grow obsolete together" at the episode's end.
Though his programming can lead to him harming people, he is generally a caring and quite heroic robot in most episodes. Sometimes he is brave, protective and helpful, and has saved Gumball's life at least three times.
