Carmen Verde is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball. She is an anthropomorphic cactus who is dating Alan.
She is voiced by Teresa Gallagher (season 1) and later Alix Wilton Regan (season 2–present).
Personality
Carmen is very studious and intelligent, as she takes her studies seriously and is commonly seen reading books. She is also deeply values her relationship with Alan.
In "The Best," she was shown to have been a former troublemaker, being expelled from her old school for many offenses, including cheating, fighting, vandalism, and truancy. However, she reformed when she enrolled in Elmore Junior High. In the same episode, she was shown to be highly critical of others' poor habits, but despite her nitpicking and condescending attitude, she was only looking to help, mostly influenced by her own troubled past and a desire to become a better person.

- Her surname, "Verde," means "green" in multiple languages, and was revealed in "Vote Gumball… and Anyone?"
