Tohno-kun, you shouldn't say that. Please, listen to my selfishness. For once — For once, I want to protect you out of my own will. If I don't do that, I'll never be able to face you with a smile from my heart.Ciel
Ciel is one of the five heroines of Tsukihime. Apparently she looks like a senior attending the same school as the main protagonist Shiki Tohno.
She was voiced by Fumiko Orikasa in the anime, Kumi Sakuma in the games, and Kaede Hondo in the Remake (Tsukihime Remake and Melty Blood Type Lumina), in the Japanese version, and by Wendee Lee in the English version.
Overview
Ciel is one of Shiki's classmates and is a senpai of sorts to his circle of friends, president and sole member of the Tea Ceremony Club and a model student. She also leads a double life as an Executor for a super-secret branch of the Catholic Church called the Burial Agency. Like Arcueid, she is in town to hunt a mysterious vampire, but due to working for a Knight Templar organization the pair refuse to work together. She also opposes Shiki's partnership with Arcueid while hinting at a more personal grievance with her. In spite of that, the relationship is not entirely hostile. On the other hand, she and Akiha seem to despise each other. Ciel has a high level of durability and fights with holy powers, thrown swords and some degree of magecraft.
Abilities
Ciel's main weapon as a church enforcer is the Black Keys. The Keys of Black have the appearance of hamdles with leaves materialized by witchcraft. If the drive keys to hit the shadow of a _target, the _target will be immobilized and unable to move as the shadow cannot be separated from the body, and in such case only Ciel can remove the key by fixing the shadow. Ciel has access to a large number of Black Keys, as he can create them using the pages of the Bible.
