Ravenpaw

I wouldn't change a thing. If anything had been different, I might not have had my life with Barley. I have been happier than I could have ever imagined a cat could be.Ravenpaw stating that he doesn't regret leaving ThunderClan

Ravenpaw is a major protagonist in Erin Hunter's Warriors book series.

He is a close friend of Firestar and Graystripe, and the former apprentice of Tigerstar. After witnessing his mentor killing the ThunderClan deputy Redtail to take his place, Tigerclaw attempted numerous times to get rid of him so that he wouldn't spill the secret. Feeling unsafe in his Clan, he fled to a nearby farm where he later became mates with Barley, the tom who lived there.

Appearance

Ravenpaw is a small, skinny tom with sleek black fur and green eyes. He has a small white spot on his chest, and his long, thin tail is tipped with white.

Biography

Bluestar's Prophecy

Noticing that Ravenkit has been skittish since birth and how it took his mother Robinwing half a moon to get him to leave the nursery, Bluestar assigns Tigerclaw as his mentor in hopes of bringing him out of his shell. She sees him removing leaves from a stalk when his brother Dustpaw pretends to attack him, causing him to leap into the air in alarm.

Redtail's Debt

Redtail, Tigerclaw and Ravenpaw all go on a patrol near Sunningrocks. On the way there, Ravenpaw starts practicing battle moves, which his mentor praises him for. He's eager that there's a chance of battling RiverClan cats, and Redtail starts to worry that Tigerclaw is a bad influence on him. When they get to Sunningrocks, the deputy tells him and his mentor to go mark the rocks just before a RiverClan patrol lead by Oakheart shows up.

Knowing they're outnumbered, Redtail orders Ravenpaw to go back to camp, but the young black tom stays, insisting that warriors don't run from battle. He then growls that Tigerclaw was right about Redtail when he called him a coward. Oakheart threatens to kill the apprentice, and in an effort to protect him Redtail bites into the RiverClan warrior's throat, unintentionally killing him. Ravenpaw thanks Redtail and says that he owes him, but he and Tigerclaw both command him to leave. When the RiverClan cats leave and Tigerclaw is alone with Redtail, the former kills him swiftly, unaware that his apprentice had seen the whole thing.

The Prophecies Begin

Into The Wild

Right after Firepaw's apprentice ceremony, Ravenpaw bursts into camp in a frenzy, yowling that Redtail is dead before passing out from shock. Spottedleaf checks him to see that his shoulder is badly wounded, taking him to the medicine den to rest. Tigerclaw comes in to check on his student, trying to prod him into getting up, but Spottedleaf tells him to stop and let the young tom rest. Firepaw and Graypaw later go to check on him, and he quickly befriends the two.

While the three spend time together, Graypaw and Firepaw notice how timid and fretful Ravenpaw is, especially around Tigerclaw. During a hunting assessment, his mentor instructs him to go hunt at the Snakerocks, likely trying to get him killed by the venomous snakes infesting the area. Ravenpaw survives however, and even manages to catch a snake that he brings back to the camp. In another hunting task, he's told to go hunt in ShadowClan's territory. knowing this goes against the warrior code, Firepaw asks if they should tell Bluestar about Tigerclaw sending his apprentice there, but Ravenpaw refuses to tell in fear of how his mentor will react.

At the trio's first Gathering, Ravenpaw is telling a group of apprentices from RiverClan and ShadowClan about the battle at Sunningrocks. While listening to his story, Firepaw notices that he says Redtail killed Oakheart, when Tigerclaw stated that it was the other way around. Before he can finish his story however, Ravenpaw notices Tigerclaw watching him and quickly clams up.

Later, Ravenpaw goes with Firepaw, Graypaw, Tigerclaw and Bluestar to the Moonstone. When they reach the cave leading to the Moonstone, Bluestar tells him and Graypaw to guard the entrance while the other three go in. When Bluestar later comes out saying they need to get back home at once, Ravenpaw meets Barley for the first time on they way back. They take the alternate route that Barley suggests to avoid the twoleg's dogs, but he is dragged into a pit full of rats before Barley returns and saves the group. When they get back, ShadowClan is attacking ThunderClan, and all five of them rush into battle. Rosetail and the deputy Lionheart are both killed, and in the aftermath Bluestar appoints Tigerclaw as the new deputy. Ravenpaw is horrified by this, muttering that being deputy is what Tigerclaw wanted ever since he "took care of" Redtail. Overhearing this, Firepaw asks what he means, but then Tigerclaw interrupts and asks his apprentice if he's telling Firepaw about the time he avenged Redtail's death.

While out in private, Ravenpaw tells his friends that Redtail had been killed by Tigerclaw, recounting how he witnessed his mentor attack him after the RiverClan cats had left. In another attempt to get rid of Ravenpaw, Tigerclaw starts spreading rumors that the small black tom is a spy for ShadowClan's leader Brokenstar, claiming that the recent attack on their camp was caused by Ravenpaw running off to tell ShadowClan that the two strongest warriors were out of camp while he was supposed to be guarding the cave to the Moonstone. Most of the Clan believes this, and it's before going to search for Yellowfang that Firepaw witnesses Frostfur chasing him away and biting at him, and comes to the realization that Ravenpaw is not longer safe in ThunderClan.

Firepaw and Graypaw get the idea to take Ravenpaw to the farm for his safety. Ravenpaw asks how they're going to keep Tigerclaw from looking for him, and they reply that they'll tell the Clan that he's dead. Ravenpaw says goodbye to his friends before departing for the farm to live with Barley. When the stolen kits are rescued from ShadowClan, Tigerclaw asks where his apprentice went, commenting that it's suspicious that he would disappear as soon as Brokenstar is exiled. Firepaw and Graypaw lie that they found him dead near the ShadowClan camp and buried him there, and Bluestar laments the fact that he won't be becoming a warrior with them.

Fire and Ice

As Fireheart and Graystripe bring WindClan back to their territory, Ravenpaw appears and greets his old friends while they pass by the farm, seeming much more confident and mature now. Though the WindClan cats are wary of him, he and Barley offer to have the travelers spend the night in the barn. As the WindClan cats settle in for the night, Ravenpaw tells Fireheart and Graystripe about how he headed straight for the farm, before asking if Tigerclaw knows that he's there, and Fireheart says that they told Tigerclaw that he'd been killed by a ShadowClan patrol.

The conversation is interrupted by two WindClan apprentices walking up to them, which Ravenpaw jokingly tries to scare by saying that loner like him eats apprentices, though the two don't buy it. He teasingly respond that their meat would've been too tough and stringy anyways, and Fireheart reminds them to be grateful to him and Barley for giving them food and shelter. Resuming their discussion, Ravenpaw concludes that it may be for the best that his former Clanmates think he's dead, before commenting on how tired his friends look and telling them to get some sleep. The next morning, Ravenpaw and Barley wish their visitors well as they continue on their journey.

Forest of Secrets

During a Gathering, Fireheart and Graystripe sneak off to the farm to ask Ravenpaw about the details of the Sunningrocks battle that lead to Redtail's death. The black tom informs them that Oakheart was crushed in a rockslide, rather than being killed by Redtail like they had previously thought. Fireheart tells Bluestar this, but she dismisses it because of Ravenpaw's skittishness, noting that he probably wasn't made for Clan life. After Tigerclaw's betrayal and subsequent exile however, Bluestar invites him to come back to ThunderClan. He denies however, preferring to live at the farm with Barley, though he promises to come visit. Fireheart's doubts that bringing him to the farm disappear when he sees how much happier and calmer he now is.

Rising Storm

Ravenpaw finds the recently kidnapped Cloudpaw wandering around near the farm and brings him back to the twolegplace he's being held in, though notes how unhappy the white apprentice looks. He visits the Clans to tell Fireheart and Sandstorm this, who he then escorts to where he brought Cloudpaw. Along the way, the three run into a dog who gives chase, and Ravenpaw lures it away by running around the field before climbing up a tree.

When they arrive, they go up another tree to look at Cloudpaw through the window. They then go to the backyard and get one of the twolegs to open the door long enough for the apprentice to escape, and Ravenpaw leads them back to Clan territory, saying farewell as he returns home.

A Dangerous Path

When Fireheart tells WindClan of Bluestar's intent to start a war, Onewhisker requests Ravenpaw to deliver a message from Tallstar asking to discuss the matter with him. Fireheart leads the thin black tom to ThunderClan camp to talk to her, and after speaking in private, Bluestar agrees to go to Fourtrees to talk with Tallstar. Fireheart then briefly catches up with his old friend before he returns to the farm.

The Darkest Hour

On the way back from the Moonstone, Ravenpaw allows Cinderpelt and the newly named Firestar to rest in the barn. Later, Ravenpaw returns to ThunderClan territory to pay his respects to the deceased Bluestar. Firestar and Graystripe tell him that they're going to sneak into TigerClan's camp to rescue Stonefur, Mistyfoot, Featherpaw and Stormpaw, who are being held prisoner for being half-Clan cats. Ravenpaw goes with them, and while hiding in the fronds the witness Stonefur be executed for refusing to kill Stormpaw and Featherpaw. Firestar asks Ravenpaw if he wants to go back, but he refuses. He then enters the camp and pretends to be a BloodClan cat, telling the current prisoner guard Jaggedtooth that Tigerstar has called for him, and to go speak to him while Ravenpaw guards the prisoners. Firestar are then able to rescue the remaining prisoners, and the group escape back to ThunderClan before Ravenpaw returns home.

Later, after Tigerstar is killed by the BloodClan leader Scourge, Ravenpaw and Barley agree to help the Clan cats in the fight against BloodClan, with Barley telling them the rouge Clan's weaknesses. They take part in the battle, driving away the attackers and saving the forest, before saying goodbye and returning to their farm.

Firestar's Quest

On the way to the Moonstone, Firestar encounters Ravenpaw, who asks him if there's any trouble. After a brief moment of hesitation, Firestar tells him about the strange dreams he's been having lately. Ravenpaw reassures the orange tom that StarClan will be there to help him. Later, while on a quest to rebuild the lost fifth Clan SkyClan, Ravenpaw and Barley let Firestar and Sandstorm rest in the barn for the night.

Ravenpaw's Path

Shattered Peace

A band of rogues lead by a tom named Willie come to the farm one snowy night to ask Barley and Ravenpaw if they could stay the night. The two agree, showing their guests around the barn before catching prey for them. Willie's mate Minty gives birth soon after, naming her kittens Icicle, Snowflake, Cloudy and Sniff. As the kits grow, they become attached to Ravenpaw. The kits make him miss his old life in ThunderClan, and he works hard to hunt for them and bring them the best playthings.

While out on a walk one day, Barley tells Ravenpaw that he doesn't trust the visitors, but the green-eyed tom assumes that it's because he isn't trying as hard to get to know them. Their conversation is cut short when Ravenpaw runs off to get a feather for the kits. Later, he watches Willie go to the side of the barn, thinking that he's trying to get out. He tells the rogues' leader that the way he's going only leads to the chickens, and that they aren't allowed to hunt them because they belong to the twolegs who own the farm. He takes note of Willie's interest in the farm as the rogue remarks that it's nice to live there, but cant figure out why he's so interested.

Later, Barley informs his mate that he saw one of the rogues named Snapper teaching the kits how to perform lethal attacks. Ravenpaw brushes this off, saying that Barley misunderstood what Snapper was doing, stating that they need to protect the kits as he walks away. A weeks later, the rogues depart the farm, with Ravenpaw sad to see Minty's children go.

Later still, the rogues return, this time attempting to force the farm cat duo out of their home. One of them reveals that they aren't ordinary rogues, but rather former members of BloodClan. Ravenpaw is almost killed, but Minty intervenes, saving him. The two loners are driven out, and the small black tom suggest that they stay at the Moonstone for the time being. In his dreams, Bluestar, Whitestorm and Spottedleaf tell him that ThunderClan will be willing to help them take back their home, and Ravenpaw thanks them, telling Barley about it when he wakes up.

A Clan in Need

When Barley has a nightmare of his time in BloodClan, Ravenpaw wakes him up and tells him that they need to go to ThunderClan for help. On they way there, they pass through WindClan territory before being stopped by a WindClan patrol. An unusually friendly Mudclaw tells them that a dark gray kitten named Crowkit is missing, and the two promise to keep an eye out for him. They eventually find Crowkit at Fourtrees attempting to climb the Great Rock to see what being a leader is like. As they try to return him to WindClan, they find them confronting ThunderClan and accusing them of trying to steal the kit. Ravenpaw and Barley tell the WindClan patrol that they found Crowkit at Fourtrees, and they calm down, returning home with him.

When Ravenpaw asks to see Firestar, Dustpelt accuses him of being a spy for WindClan, before realizing how foolish it would be for him to want to see the leader if he was. The two toms are brought to ThunderClan camp, where Brightheart calls for Firestar. Ravenpaw meets Firestar's daughters Squirrelkit and Leafkit, and while eating together he tells the leader about BloodClan driving them out, requesting his help. Firestar is silent for a moment, but agrees to help. The loners speculate that there's something the orange tom isn't telling them, and the next day a ThunderClan patrol returns wounded after being attacked by BloodClan cats. Firestar sates that he'll send out a patrol to help Ravenpaw and Barley after the issue with BloodClan is sorted out. Not wanting to be a burden, Ravenpaw offers to help with the patrols.

Barley and Ravenpaw go hunting with Cloudtail and Graystripe when a group of BloodClan cats attack them, with one of them seeming to recognize Barley. A ThunderClan patrol helps to fight them off, then Graystripe asks Barley if he knows the cat who recognized him. He claims he doesn't and runs off, later being confronted by Firestar as well, who asks if he knows where BloodClan's camp is. Irritated, he again says he doesn't know and runs off once more.

After Rainpaw yowls that his sister Sorrelpaw was injured by rogues, Ravenpaw and his mate join a patrol to save her, with Barley telling him that BloodClan once hurt his sister Violet as well. That night, Firestar calls a meeting where Barley admits he used to live in BloodClan, but doesn't know if anything had changed since the death of Scourge. At Ravenpaw's suggestion, they go and ask Violet, bringing her back to ThunderClan with them. ThunderClan later launches an attack on BloodClan, successfully driving them out of the forest, and Firestar thanks the loners for their assistance.

The Heart of a Warrior

In ThunderClan camp, Ravenpaw thinks about how nice it is to be back and is grateful for Firestar's promise to help them with reclaiming the farm. After Firestar wakes him and Barley up, the two farm cats go on patrol with Brightheart, Brackenfur, Cloudtail, Graystripe and Brambleclaw, with Ravenpaw confident that BloodClan won't stand a chance against them. He doesn't want to make a ruckus out of leaving, but Leafkit and Squirrelkit run out of the nursery toward him and while making lots of noise.

When they get to the farm and set up camp, Ravenpaw, Barley and Graystripe scout the area. They see Willie and Snapper exit the barn, taking the chance to sneak in while they're gone. Ravenpaw sees Minty's kits playing with a dead mouse and thinks about how much of a waste of prey it is. The loners and Clan cats discuss a plan to drive the rogues out, with Ravenpaw concerned for Barley, who's upset about losing their home. The patrol attacks the next day, and while trying to cross a wall Snapper spots them, Firestar ordering the patrol to attack once he does. They all run into the barn, and as Ravenpaw's eyes adjust to the darkness, he realizes that there are even more BloodClan cats than there were before. Soon, the twoleg farmer find the fighting cats and shoos them out of the barn. The Clan cats and the two loners then notice Snapper and a fellow rouge named Pounce leaving the farm.

The loners and Clan cats then come up with a plan that they execute that evening. Brambleclaw and Brackenfur set the chickens loose to cause a distraction while the others sneak onto the roof of the barn. They rip a hole through the roof and sneak into the barn while Brackenfur and Brambleclaw open up the barn doors to startle the rogues. The battle goes well at first, but just as he thinks they're going to win, Snapper and Pounce come back with reinforcements. However, hearing the noise the cats are making, the nearby dogs break out of their chains and frighten the rogues away.

Just as Ravenpaw is about to attack Willie for his betrayal, he's interrupted by Barley's brothers Hoot and Jumper calling for help. Barley rescues them as the last of the rogues are driven out of the farm. Hoot and Jumper beg their brother to let them stay, and Barley agrees. The two's true colors are soon revealed though when they abuse Ravenpaw and make him hunt for them while their brother isn't looking. Ravenpaw tries to tell his mate about this, but Barley doesn't believe him, causing a rift between the two. Eventually however, Barley finds out about his brothers' mistreatment of Ravenpaw and angrily kicks them both out of the farm. Ravenpaw is glad that Hoot and Jumper are gone and things can return to normal, reconciling with his mate.

The New Prophecy

Midnight

Ravenpaw tells Brambleclaw that the sun-drown place he had seen in his dreams is real. Though he never went there himself, he states that he found out from rogues and loners he'd sheltered in the past telling him about it. He later visits ThunderClan to warn Firestar of the monsters that are tearing apart the forest, but the leader doesn't seem concerned at first. Later, the two farm cats allow a group of young Clan cats to stay in their barn for a while, accompanying them to the Moonstone and saying their goodbyes as the two toms part ways with the group.

Dawn

Firestar and Ravenpaw visit, with the latter wondering where Graystripe is. The leader explains that he'd been captured by twolegs, and that now that the forest is destroyed, the Clans will have to find somewhere else to live. Ravenpaw and Barley let the Clans stay in the cow shed before they go on their journey, and as they're about to leave, Ravenpaw gives Firestar a rabbit as a parting gift. Firestar asks him to come along, but Ravenpaw refuses, giving a sad final goodbye to him and watching with Barley as the Clans leave. Firestar is distraught that with Graystripe gone and Ravenpaw staying behind, neither of his childhood friends will be with him in the Clans' new home.

Graystripe's Adventure

Warrior's Return

Ravenpaw is excited to see Graystripe when he visits the farm with Millie. He tells them that with the forest gone, the Clans have all went towards the setting sun, informing them of a prophecy they received about a dying warrior. He and Barley let Graystripe and Millie stay the night, commenting on Millie's ThunderClan hunting techniques while she hunts a mouse. When the visitors leave the next day, the farm cats follow them up to Highstones before going back home. Ravenpaw is sad to see Graystripe leave, as he was the only connection he had left to ThunderClan.

Ravenpaw's Farewell

In a dream, a younger Ravenpaw races through the forest with Firepaw and Graypaw. The three reach Sunningrocks and climb up the highest rock, looking out over the trees together. Firepaw and Graypaw joyously declare ThunderClan is the best, and as Ravenpaw opens his moth to join them, he feels a raindrop on his snout. The previously clear sky is now filled with rainclouds, and Ravenpaw is caught in the downpour.

Ravenpaw suddenly awakes in the barn with Barley standing over him, saying he was getting wet from a hole in the roof above him. he mutters that Barley said that he checked the roof for holes before making their nests, with the dream he had still fresh in his mind. Feeling a pain in his stomach, he guesses that the cause it from eating a spoiled mouse. Barley comments that the rain won't last much longer, and the two go out for a walk in the remains of the forest the Clans once inhabited. Ravenpaw reminisces on his time with Firestar and Graystripe, wondering where they are now. When they get to ThunderClan's old camp, Ravenpaw starts talking about his fond memories of his apprentice days. Barley says that he shouldn't forget the reason he left, and Ravenpaw responds that he'll never regret his decision.

After leaving the former camp and walking along the fences of the twolegplace, they are confronted by a ragged kittypet named Madric who accuses them of trespassing on his territory. Barley tries to explain that they're just passing through, but Madric and his friends chase the farm cats until Barley's sister Violet comes in to stop them. She takes the two to her twoleg's house and introduces them to her children Patch, Lulu, Bella, and Riley. Ravenpaw notes how similar the latter two look to Firestar and Graystripe. Violet promises her kittens that they'll get to visit Ravenpaw's and Barley's farm one day, and the two loners say goodbye and go home.

Later, at the end of leaf-bare, Ravenpaw sees Riley and Bella visiting with their mother. Amused by the kit's curiosity, he shows them around the farm and teaches them how to hunt. After catching a mouse and thanking StarClan for sending the prey, Riley asks what he's saying. Realizing he was thinking out loud, Ravenpaw wonders how long it had been since he's thanked StarClan when catching fresh-kill. As Violet brings her children home, they complain that they don't want to leave and want to be warriors, begging Ravenpaw for help. Later that night, with the pain in his stomach still bothering him, Ravenpaw is visited by the spirit of Silverstream. She tells him to take Riley and Bella to SkyClan so that they may become warriors. That morning, he tells Barley that they must bring the two to SkyClan, his heart racing when his mate becomes upset with him and looking on in dismay when he walks away.

Ravenpaw goes back to the twolegplace and tells Violet about taking her two kits to SkyClan. She hesitates, but allows them to go. He then beckons the two kittypets to come with him and follows them as they race ahead. He stops by the farm to ask Barley if he wants to go, flinching as the black and white tom bitterly replies that he's probably going to join SkyClan with them. Ravenpaw leaves while in disbelief that Barley didn't even say goodbye, travelling with Bella and Riley along the the river. He critiques their pouncing skills, before hearing a dog barking and leaping atop a hedge with them. Once the dog leaves, they continue and find a den to stay in for the night. He tells the young cats to groom themselves while he goes to find some eggs for the three of them to eat.

The next day, he scolds Bella after catching her eating from a twoleg's hand. The day after, he teaches his companions battle moves before reaching an abandoned twoleg house. Ravenpaw then reunites with Barley, who had been following them from a distance the whole time. The next day, the four of them shelter in a cave, with the black tom eager that their destination is close. As they rest, they're abruptly woken up by a group of kittypets. One of them, named Pasha, torments Ravenpaw until the farm cat hits him between the ears. Pasha snarls that he'll regret doing that, and the kittypets leave them alone.

At last the group reaches SkyClan's territory, where they encounter a patrol that brings them to the leader, Leafstar. She rejects taking Bella and Riley in however, questioning why they couldn't join any of the other Clans. Ravenpaw informs her that the old forest is gone and the other Clan have moved away, returning to the cave as his stomach pain gets worse. That night, the four travelers witness the same group of kittypets from before harassing SkyClan, who do nothing to defend themselves. As Ravenpaw goes back to sleep, Silverstream visits him in his dreams again. He realizes that the pain he's been feeling is severe liver cancer, and that he won't be able to make it back home with the short time he has left. Cloudstar and Skywatcher also visit him to tell him that SkyClan needs to be shown Riley's and Bella's potential.

That morning, he tells Barley that he knows how to deal with the kittypets. They return to the same place they had encountered a patrol last time and ask to see Leafstar again. in SkyClan's camp, they meet Leafstar's deputy Sharpclaw and her mate Billystorm. He tells the Clan cats about his strategy to drive off the kittypets, which is them put into motion. Knowing that he's dying, Bluestar, Lionheart and Whitestorm visit Ravenpaw in a dream and offer to give him a warrior name before he dies. He declines however, stating that he's been Ravenpaw all his life and that he's proud of his name, seeing no reason to change it now.

Ravenpaw's plan is a success and the kittypets are driven away, with Leafstar thanking him on behalf of all of SkyClan. Bella and Riley are accepted into the Clan, and Ravenpaw watches fondly as the have an apprentice ceremony and are renamed to Bellapaw and Rileypaw. However, Ravenpaw was injured during the battle, and instead of going to the medicine den, he requests to be laid under the trees, knowing that his time is up. Leafstar vows to give the dying tom a warrior's farewell. Barley comes up to him and tries to comfort him in his final moments, and Ravenpaw soothes his grief by promising that he'll wait for Barley's passing and they will find each other again, wherever and whenever that may be. Curled up next to his mate, Ravenpaw passes away, and Barley watches as his spirit rises from his body and walks off into the sunlight.

The Ultimate Guide

Ravenpaw's spirit appears during Brambleclaw's leadership ceremony. Brambleclaw asks him if he's really Ravenpaw, and the black tom confirms that he is. Looking around at all the StarClan cats around him, he comments that he never thought he's see any of them again. Brambleclaw asks if he resides in his own version of StarClan for non-Clan cats, and he amusedly answers that he both is and isn't a StarClan cat, as it had been so long since he left ThunderClan. His eyes cloud over with sadness as he says that he still misses Barley, but has been watching over him and knows they'll be together again soon.

Ravenpaw then remarks that it had been a long time since he'd seen Brambleclaw, adding that he could see why Firestar made him his deputy. He also says that he's honored to be giving ThunderClan's new leader his nineth and final life, touching noses with Brambleclaw as he gives him a life of speaking out against injustice, telling him to never be afraid of the truth.

Trivia

  • Author Cherith Baldry stated that if Ravenpaw had never left ThunderClan, his warrior name would've been Ravenwing. Coincidentally, this is also the name of the ThunderClan medicine cat in Mapleshade's Vengeance.
  • Ravenpaw is one of author Victoria Holmes' three favorite cats (the other two being Bramblestar and Cloudtail) because of his shyness and how he's much happier living as a loner than a Clan cat.
  • Ravenpaw being the son of Robinwing and Fuzzypelt and littermate of Dustpelt was revealed on Victoria Holmes' Facebook page, stating that Dustpelt always tried to deny being his brother.
  • Ravenpaw's quote of "But there is a secret that I have kept from you without meaning to: I have always been a warrior." was inspired by Dr. Banner's line "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." in The Avengers.
  • Ravenpaw is mistakenly portrayed as a fully black cat with no white markings in Graystripe's Adventure: Warrior's Return. This was fixed in the colored 3-in-1 edition of Graystripe's Adventure.
