Spider-Girl (Anya Corazon)

Spider-Girl (real name Aña "Anya" Sofía Corazón), is a fictional superheroine created by Marvel comics, she made her first appearance on Amazing Fantasy #1 (August 2004) and later makes many debuts on many other Marvel comic books (includng the Spider-Man comics). She was created by Fiona Avery, Jaime Mendoza, Victor Olazaba and Mark Brooks.

History

The beginning of Anya's story starts when Miguel recruited her. He is a member of a team called The Spider Society.

Anya's spider powers and abilities were given to her when a ritual was performed. By this, it was specifically given to her through her spider tattoo. Then, an organization of the Wen Corps decided to design a superhero costume for her. Despite this, she rejected their offer and made her own one for herself instead. And just like all the other Spider People, she made herself a web-shooter. After she became a superhero, she also became an of the Sister of the Wasp, the Spider Society's nemesis.

Personality

Anya is a tomboyish teenage girl who loves doing science. As a matter of fact, she is the type of person who loves to make her own inventions. Therefore, at the same time, she is also a superhero who fights her enemies and has the heart to help her friends and the innocent people.

Weapons

She doesn't use weapons (except for her web-shooters) anymore. However, before she stopped using her creations, she invented a lot of them that were used for fighting her enemies, these weapons include grappling hooks, small discs and many more.

Powers & Abilities

Superhuman Powers

  • Strength. Anya has a big amount of strength, because of it, she was easily able to overcome Arachne, who can hold 10 tons.
  • Speed. Her running speed is fast and has the ability to run 30 mph.
  • Agility. She has advanced level of her body's balance and direction, she also has flexibility which its elastic is double the amount of a normal human being's.
  • Reflexes. Her reflexes are very high leveled and much greater than a normal person's.
  • Spider Wall-Crawling. Just like all the other Spider people, Anya is able to climb walls and ceilings.
  • Web Generating. She can create her own spider webs with her own arms and bounded health conditions.
  • Camouflage. She can turn invisible and is mostly impossible to ascertain.
