Zechariah Nettles

Zechariah Nettles is a supporting protagonist in the Amphibia episode "Night Drivers".

Appearance

Zechariah resembles a light-colored frog with one-intact eye, a scar across his face, a gold tooth, a scar under the right side of his lip, grey hair, and a long beard. This may be attributed to him being a ghost.

He wears a large top hat with the top part bent over, a long grey coat, old pants, and several buttons. His right hand is a large hook.

Personality

Zechariah appears to be sinister, but this is not really the case. In reality, he wanted Polly and Sprig to take a safe path and even saves Polly from a deathly fall.

Biography

When Anne and the Plantars were heading back from Amphibia, Sprig and Polly took over driving the F'Wagon at night when Anne and Hop Pop fell asleep.

When they were about to drive into a fog, they encounter Zechariah where he was trying to keep them off a dangerous path. But his appearance frightens them. He next tries to direct them down a safer path, but they take the right path rather than left. He promptly warps onto the F'Wagon and to take control in order to bring the vehicle to a safe stop and save Polly from falling to her death.

When the fog clears up, Polly and Sprig find a statue of the late Nettles who guided people to safety, even in death.

The fog also clears up to show the safer route Nettles tried to direct them to.
