From "Hilda and the Fairy Village"

Tofoten is a village near Trolberg. It is the village that Johanna grew up in, and in which Hilda's great-aunt Astrid still lives.

In "Hilda and the Bird Parade", the village (spelled as Toføten here) can be seen on a map of Trolberg and surrounding area's, but it plays no part in any of the stories. It is however the primary setting of the tie-in book "Hilda and the Fairy Village", and a main location in Season 3 of the animated series.

About

Tofoten is a much smaller town than Trolberg.

A map of the town seen in "Hilda and the Fairy Village" shows Tofoten is surrounded by a wall, just like Trolberg. In the animated series, this wall is never seen however.

There's a market place and a train station. On a hill outside the village wall is a large statue known as "the fairy of the norht". A river crosses the city from west to east.

Tofoten is also known as the Fairy Village. For most part this is just a gimmick to lure tourists, as the village is filled with fairy-themed attractions and locations, such as a carousel, fairy trail and fake fairy mounds that contain fairy-animatronics. However, near the river there is one real Fairy Mound that leads directly to Fairy Country.

Astrid's house is located just outside the village, near a Woff cave.
