Hierarki Gereja Katolik
Hierarki Gereja Katolik terdiri dari para uskup, imam dan diaken.[1][2] Dalam esensi eklesiologi dari istilah tersebut, "hierarki" artinya "tatanan suci" dari Gereja, Tubuh Kristus, sehingga menghormati keragaman hadiah dan pelayanan yang dibutuhkan untuk penyatuan sejati. (1 Cor 12)
Dalam pemakaian kanonikal dan umum, ini merujuk kepada orang-orang yang memegang otoritas dalam sebuah gereja Kristen.[3] Dalam Gereja Katolik, otoritas utamanya terdiri dari para uskup,[4] sementara para imam dan deakon bertugas sebagai para asisten mereka, rekan kerja atau pemberi bantuan.[5] Selain itu, "hierarki Gereja Katolik" juga dipakai untuk merujuk kepada para uskup itu sendiri.[6]
