Il campionato mondiale di Superbike 1995 è l'ottava edizione del campionato mondiale Superbike riconosciuta ufficialmente dalla FIM.

Le prove in calendario aumentarono di una unità rispetto all'edizione precedente con l'arrivo di un nuovo gran premio disputato negli Stati Uniti; in totale si gareggiò 8 volte in Europa, 2 in Asia, 1 in Australia e 1 appunto negli USA.

Carl Fogarty bissò il successo dell'anno precedente, vincendo 13 gare del campionato, mentre la Ducati si impose per il quinto anno consecutivo tra i costruttori.

Il pilota giapponese Yasutomo Nagai fu vittima di un grave incidente nel corso del Gran Premio di Assen. Investito dalla sua stessa moto, morì 2 giorni dopo la gara senza aver mai ripreso conoscenza. La gara fu immediatamente sospesa e la classifica, come da regolamento, fu stilata secondo le posizioni del giro precedente all'incidente, in cui Nagai era in quinta posizione.

Calendario

Carl Fogarty, qui intento a salutare il pubblico di Monza in sella alla sua Ducati 916, si riconferma iridato facendo suo il secondo titolo tra le derivate di serie.

Sistema di punteggio

Da quest'anno venne leggermente modificato il sistema di punteggio relativo alle prime tre posizioni: mentre precedentemente i punti assegnati erano di 20, 17 e 15, si passò a premiare il primo posto con 25 punti, il secondo con 20 e il terzo con 16, lasciando invariato il resto.
