糞口経路

多くの感染症は宿主の糞便から他の感受性宿主へと口腔を介して伝播し得る。この感染経路を糞口経路（ふんこうけいろ、英: fecal-oral route）と呼ぶ。

一般に中間段階があり（時として複数の中間段階が存在する）、糞便に接触しかつ飲水前の処理が不十分である場合や糞便に触れた食物、不十分な汚水処理、糞便接触後の不十分な洗浄などにより糞口経路は成立する。

アニリングスや糞尿愛好症などの性行為では糞口経路による疾病を拡大し得る^[1]。
