The Indian Society for Dental Research (ISDR), an Indian division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) (www.iadr.org) is a prestigious organization that aims to promote the advancement of dental research in India. The society was conceived during the IADR 64th annual session in Dallas, Texas in March 1984.

ISDR is committed to inspiring students to pursue research as a profession and has a vision of advancing dental research in all aspects of oral and related sciences. The society's official publication is the Indian Journal of Dental Research (IJDR).

Over the years, ISDR has conducted numerous annual conferences across the country and has been instrumental in promoting the exchange and dissemination of information and ideas through these regular scientific meetings. The society also honours eligible candidates with various awards and fellowships.
