Ammosaurus is an extinct genus of prosauropod dinosaur from the Early Jurassic in the United States that might be a synonym of Anchisaurus.

Ammosaurus is illustrated by Timothy Bradley in the Dinopedia of the Jurassic Park Institute. It is shown building a nest with its feet, a reference to its name, which mean "Sand Lizard".
