History

Ben was born in 2001 to his currently unknown parents and at some point his mother got a job at Masrani Global Corporation.

Ben would grow up to become a shy and bookish boy with lots of phobias and a great fear of anything he considers weird or scary, such as Whipped Cream.

In 2015, a few days before the infamous Jurassic World Incident, Ben got a free pass to the Park's Camp Cretaceous thanks to his mother's job with Masrani, which according to him, was an attempt of hers to help him conquer his fears and phobias.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous

Season 1

"Camp Cretaceous"

Ben arrives at Isla Nublar on the ferry along with the other campers, it is shown that he got sick during the trip while moving. They are then taken to Camp Cretaceous and only stop briefly when Dave and Roxie try to retrieve a Compsognathus that escaped while Ben was scared. Upon arrival at camp, they are given a brief overview of the camp rules, before they have the opportunity to unpack. That afternoon, all the campers, including Ben, ride the zipline over the dinosaurs, although he is visibly nervous when he goes first.

"Secrets"

The next day, Ben visits the Genetics Lab. Ben is present at the birth of a baby Ankylosaurus and names her Bumpy due to her crooked bumps on her head. Ben appears to form a quick affinity with Bumpy, however, he and the rest of the group are abruptly expelled by Dr. Henry Wu in retaliation for Brooklynn's invasion of his office despite her protests to leave Bumpy and the group returns to camp. Upon returning, Ben tells Darius and Kenji to use lots of soap since they collected dinosaur poop and it smells really bad.

"The Cattle Drive"

That night, Ben is among the group listening to the story Darius is telling, before the rain forces them inside.

The next morning, campers are taken to Gyrosphere Valley to drive Gyrospheres close to the dinosaur herd as they are led to their grazing pens. Ben is paired with Kenji in his Gyrosphere, much to Kenji's dismay at not being able to drive. Ben drives slowly and carefully, and Kenji initially scoffs at it. Meanwhile, the counselors stopped the activity due to the approaching storm and went out to warn the other employees. Initially planning to stay, Ben and Kenji end up trying to help the others bring a Sinoceratops back to the pride.

As the campers try to corner the Sinoceratops, Kenji and Ben argue over the controls, as he becomes frustrated with Kenji's driving. The campers' lack of coordination causes the Sinoceratops to send Darius and Brooklynn's gyrosphere into the bulk of the herd causing all the dinos to stampede. The campers continue to be pushed around by the stampeding herd, as they try to escape. After an argument, Ben allows Kenji to drive and immediately destroys the gyrosphere.

Ben and Kenji are forced to travel with Yasmina and Sammy in their gyrosphere after encountering them, eventually finding Darius and Brooklynn's gyrosphere trapped in the sinkhole. The group manage to free them with the help of the Sinoceratops and are found by Dave and Roxie, who admonishes them for their actions earlier as they were sent back to camp.

"Things Fall Apart" (Jurassic World Incident)

The next morning, Ben and the other campers are left alone at camp by Dave and Roxie. Ben and Kenji blame Darius for the next day's events, even as he tries to convince the group to stay at camp and engage in indoor activities like coloring. The group is distracted by the sound of an approaching dinosaur and they decide to head to the observation tower to try to determine where the roar is coming from. Ben initially stays behind, but quickly freaks out and runs to chase after his fellow campers. The campers successfully enter the tower and climb it, seemingly relieved to see that the noise is just a Brachiosaurus.

At that moment, two employees appear and alert the children to come down. Initially refusing, the boys watch in horror as the Indominus rex ambushes and kills the two men. When the hybrid attacks the tower, the group attempts to use the zipline to escape, though the emergency brake goes off, leaving the group stranded in the middle. The Indominus manages to bring down the tower, along with the zip line, causing the campers including Ben to fall to the ground.

The campers wake up after being briefly disoriented and run to the camp, only to find that it has been destroyed. Ben would agree with the other campers that Darius's plan to head to the Main Street for help was the best course of action.

"Happy Birthday, Eddie!"

As the campers make their way to the park, they pass the Carnotaurus paddock, where Ben accidentally reveals that Kenji told the rest of the group about his misadventure with Darius. Before the group leaves for the park, Ben comforts Darius, as he worries that the adults won't be able to fix their situation. Ben lags a bit behind the group as he finds Bumpy and tries to convince the rest of the campers to go with them. When they argue that she would be too slow to follow, he points to a nearby truck where Bumpy could join them. As the group gets into the van, they are suddenly chased by the Indominus rex and they manage to evade it by driving the van to the genetics lab.

The campers take refuge in the relative safety of the Genetics Lab, when they run into Eddie. The scientist tries to quickly commandeer his vehicle, but is promptly rammed by the Indominus and eaten soon after. The Indominus then stalks the campers as they do their best to evade it, eventually escaping via the van as they attempt to drive directly to the park. However, the van crashes shortly after when Yasmina is distracted when she realizes Sammy's lie that she had taken Brooklynn's phone.

"Welcome to Jurassic World"

Everyone, including Ben, got upset with Sammy about taking Brooklynn's phone, when she admits that she was sent by Mantah Corp as a spy to save her family. However, everything is interrupted when Masrani tries to kill the Induminos rex in his helicopter, until they are chased by the Pteranodons. They manage to reach the Kayak River and use the yachts to reach the main park. While rowing, Yasmina argues with Ben about Bumpy, but they are interrupted by the Parasaurolphus lux, they agitated by Bumpy's screams before abruptly fleeing. The children are then sucked into a tunnel that takes them to the Mosasaurus lagoon and paddle quickly towards the stands. Yasmina creates a distraction so Ben can arrive safely, even as Kenji rescues her. Later Ben takes a break with the others before hearing the evacuation alarm.

"Last Day of Camp" & "End of the Line"

Ben and the others try to get to the monorail to take the evacuation ferry that leaves in two hours, since Ben points out that the ferry that disembarks is at the southern point of the island and that otherwise they will have difficulty getting there. As they approach the monorail, they are intercepted by Toro the Carnotaurus who chases them. When he sees that Toro is going to eat Yaz, Ben was afraid to save her, but luckily Darius interfered and they got on the monorail. While the group is on the monorail, they celebrate with Ben offering them carob bars as snacks, although they disliked the taste. The campers begin to talk about their plans after being rescued, but this is interrupted by a distant explosion. Shortly after, Ben reveals to everyone that his mother made him come to camp to overcome his fears and that he himself is tired of being afraid. But the group discovers that the monorail is under attack by pteranodons, who are attracted to the train because of the lights. The group arms themselves with flashlights to try to turn off the lights, while Ben initially simply sits in a corner out of fear. As the attack continues, Darius leads the group to another train car in their attempt to evade. Then they see up ahead that there is another destroyed monorail in the middle of the track.

Darius initially offers to be the one to go to the control panel to change tracks, seeing this as an opportunity to face his fears, Ben offers to do so and goes up to the roof. Darius begs Ben to come back, but he refuses and tells him and the others to distract him. Ben manages to get into the control panel and changes the direction of the monorail, thus saving everyone and the others applaud Ben for saving them. However, a Pteranodon crashes into the carriage, trying to take Ben away, Darius tries to save him but cannot. He lets go, horrifying the others. The rest of the group assume that he is dead, but in the last scene, when Bumpy finds Ben, his fingers move slightly, indicating that he is alive.

Season 2

"A Beacon of Hope"

While the other five campers hide from Rexy the T. rex, Yasmina says, "We haven't eaten since we ate those horrible carob bars Ben gave us." However, she stops talking after mentioning Ben, and then everyone becomes sad, over his supposed death.

While sleeping, Darius dreams that he sees Ben walking down the main street. She runs to Ben and hugs him, very happy that he is alive. However, Ben gets angry and accuses him of dropping him, which scares Darius. The dream then cuts back to Ben hanging on to Darius' hand on the train, where Ben angrily says, "Let me go."

When the 5 campers discover that the emergency beacon is on Rexy's dino, a sad Kenji says that he just wanted 24 hours to not think about the dinosaurs, being left behind, or Ben.

"Salvation"

When it looks like Hap is about to hurt Brooklynn and Kenji, someone arrives and hits him with a stick, knocking him unconscious. Kenji and Brooklynn are surprised to see that the person who hit him was Ben, when Bumpy, now an adult, also arrives.

"Brave"

After Ben's fall on the monorail, he wakes up to find himself abandoned and terrified by the dangers around him, including Toro, who blocks the path to the main park. He eventually falls into a routine, imitating Bumpy to find food and water, but eventually throws him out in a fit of rage, for always putting himself in his comfortable sleeping spot. But he quickly regrets this decision, but it leads him to defend himself against a pack of Compsognathus. He becomes self-sufficient and wild, making a spear and then trying to hunt Toro. At this point, Bumpy returns, now an adult, and helps Ben defeat Toro by throwing him off a cliff. He then goes after a distant campsite and overhears Mitch, Tiff, and Hap talking about their friends, which alerts him that something is wrong.

These events then chronologically merge with the end in the episode prior, where Ben sneaks up on Hap and knocks him out, saving Brooklynn and Kenji from being electrocuted by Hap.

"Misguided"
Explosion

Ben staunchly disagrees with Kenji that they should trust Hap, but Brooklynn decides to take him along while tied up. He goes with everyone to a storage unit, where they find a motorcycle, so everyone else piles on the motorcycle while Ben rides Bumpy out of the storage unit amidst an explosion. Ben tries to lead some of the Baryonyx trio away from his friends, but they don't follow him. He manages to meet up with them later, since Hap, who sacrificed himself to let Kenji and Brooklynn escape.

"Step One"

Ben goes with the campers into the tunnels, hoping to arrive at Main Street in time to help Darius and Sammy. However, a gate blocks their path, so he follows Brooklynn deeper into the structure to eventually find a backup power facility. He's unable to help, but eventually Kenji manages to restore the power. It takes them a good deal of time, but eventually they're able to gain enough control of the island to reactivate the hologram of Tyrannosaurus rex, which distracts Rexy and allows Darius and Sammy to escape.

"Chaos Theory"
Goofing off again
Goofing off

Ben goes on speaker to warn Darius not to be a hero, but he agrees to go with Yaz to scare the dinosaurs away from the watering hole and prevent the hunters from killing them. With Kenji and Sammy too, he rides Bumpy and turns on lights and shouts to scare the dinosaurs and cause a stampede, but when they see that they changed course because of Rexy, Ben with Sammy saves Yaz when her car won't start and flees from Rexy. They finally escape and meet everyone at the dock after they failed to catch up with Tiff, and Ben runs into Darius, hugging him suddenly and forgiving him for dropping him.

Season 3

"View from the Top"

Sometime later, Ben and the other campers finally left Isla Nublar on a makeshift raft. While he is relieved that they finally left the island for good, he is heartbroken by the fact that they have to leave Bumpy behind. However, their celebration of leaving the island is short-lived when their raft is destroyed by a tidal wave, washing the campers back on the island. Ben and Bumpy later reunited when the campers return to their camp to discuss their next course of action. When a majority of the campers decided to get some hang gliders from Lookout Point to form a makeshift sail for another raft, Darius stick with Ben and Bumpy to get some woods for the said raft. During this time, Ben argued with Darius that he cannot afford to leave Bumy behind again since their last raft was too small to fit her onboard. After they survived an encounter with a Dimorphodons, Kenji and Sammy informed the rest of the campers that they spotted Mitch and Tiff's yacht stuck on a rocks offshore. To Ben's relief, the yacht is big enough to fit both the campers and Bumpy to take them both off the island.

"Safe Harbor"

Ben and the others get on the yacht and use it as an escape vehicle. They approached cautiously and began to search carefully but found no sign of anyone or any animal on the ship. They discover the bridge room and determine that Tiff was attacked by dinosaurs. The radio and controls are broken and determine that you are running out of gas. The others return to the northwest dock, while Ben and Bumpy catch up with them on land. Ben greets them at the dock and points out that he closed the fence around the dock so they have some security. Kenji brings up the idea of having a party on the yacht to the group. However, the party ends when the campers see that there is a hole in the side of the yacht and they start searching the dock for supplies. Ben then encounters Darius and Brooklynn, even as they hear the roar of a dinosaur, seeing that it is Ouranosaurus attacking them. After meeting the entire group they run towards the yacht to leave the dock. The Ouranosauruses try to board the ship, but they are scared away with fireworks, meanwhile.

"Casa De Kenji"

Still worried about not having a dock to disembark, Kenji indicates that he knows a private one in his father's Penthouse. They arrive and the ship runs out of gas. Kenji leads the way and takes them to the Penthouse. On their way, they encounter a Monolophosaurus. The group reaches the penthouse without further incident, encountering a large building. Brooklynn uses the key card to access the building and they head up the stairs to the private penthouse. As the group begins to get distracted by the luxuries in the Penthouse, Ben tries to direct the group to find supplies, but is distracted by the offer of a bottle of water. Ben calls the group to the window and notices that Bumpy is extremely agitated and points out that it is a sign of danger. Later, together with Yaz and Sammy, they explore to find things for the yacht, but they are immediately attacked by the Monolophosaurus as they chased them from the road and the children escape through the vents. Ben, Sammy and Yaz go down to the garage, finding limousines to their chagrin, they also find a sealant. While they finish pumping gas into the cars, they discover that the dinosaurs are trying to get through the door and hide in a limousine. The kids escape with the car leaving and picking up Darius Kenji and Brooklynn.

"Eye of the Storm"

Later while they wait for the sealant to dry and seal the hole in the yacht, Kenji immediately tries to delegate the responsibility of packing to Ben, while celebrating the possibility of leaving the island. Ben temporarily leaves camp and Kenji and Yaz find him along with Bumpy and a herd of Ankylosaurus. The group returns to camp to continue packing, just as they receive a warning from Darius, Brooklynn and Sammy about the Scorpios rex hybrid that was released in season 2 (accidentally by Kenji). They begin to take what they can, but they see that a storm is breaking out and they cannot set sail and they decide to secure the fence until it passes. While they were preparing, Bumpy ran out because of the thunder. The Scorpios rex stalks the perimeter of the camp, brushes against the electrified fence and becomes agitated, attacking the fence and causing the screaming campers to discover and attack them.

Scorpios jumps and the campers try to evade him without success, even when lightning strikes a nearby palm tree, distracting him with the fire, giving him enough time for them to flee, but they are cornered by the electrified fence, while the hybrid roars at them just before hearing another and leave. As the campers sigh in relief, Ben and the rest are horrified when they see that Sammy has been poisoned by the Scorpios' spikes.

"The Long Run"

While Brooklynn and Kenji stay behind to take care of Sammy, while Yaz runs in search of a cure, Darius and Ben run into the jungle to create a distraction for the Scorpios rex, and Ben takes him to a place he knows from his travels with Bumpy. They see some Pteranodons and proceed cautiously to make sure they are not attacked. Ben arrives at a place by a river, where I keep some gasoline. They return to Lookout Point and use the gondolas to create a makeshift bomb while heading to the viewpoint. The first attempt seemed to fail. However, just as they argue over why it failed, the bomb explodes spectacularly, distracting the Scorpios. They run back to the camp, only to see that it was too late and Sammy died, but to the relief of Ben and everyone, especially Yaz, she was saved.

"A Shock to the System"

Later, when the campers decided to take whatever supplies they could carry to the yacht while there is a break in the storm, Ben left the group to look for Bumpy, prompting Darius to leave the group to find him. After reuniting with Bumpy, Ben argues with Darius over the former's decision to stay behind against the latter's insistence that he needs to go home. They later get into a fight with Bumpy watching until Darius yells that he can't leave him behind like last time. After finding Bumpy's pack, they were attacked by the Scorpios rex, although luckily Bumpy's herd managed to drive the hybrid away. Ben realized that he could no longer protect Bumpy, but he still wants to stay. When a guilty Darius said he didn't want to leave him again, Ben comforts him by telling him it wasn't his fault. Ben would later go with Darius to meet with the others at the dock so that the former would bid the others farewell since he decided to stay behind on the island. But by the time they got to the dock, the yacht was gone; and to make matters worse, they eventually discovered that there are two Scorpios rexes; the second one being the result of the first one's ability to asexually reproduce.

"Escape from Isla Nublar"

Realizing that the hybrids' asexual reproduction, coupled with their hyper aggression, would have disastrous consequences for Isla Nublar and its dinosaurs, the two head back to the ruins of Jurassic Park's original Visitor Center, where they reunite with the other campers and try to find a way to stop the hybrids. With the aid of Blue the Velociraptor, the campers managed to defeat the Scorpius rexes by making the Visitor Center collapse, crushing the hybrids to death and ending their rampage for good. Afterwards, Ben says his goodbye to the campers as they prepare to leave. Since the Scorpius rexes are dead, Ben can stay on Isla Nublar to be with Bumpy and live as a full-on survivalist. However, after a quick second-thought, he realizes that he does not need to be on the island to be his new self, which causes him to re-join the campers as they begin their trip to Costa Rica, only to be stopped by a trio of helicopters carrying some mercenaries who went to the island for a secret operation during a stormy night.

"Whatever It Takes"

Despite suspecting that the helicopters are not here to rescue them, the campers return to the dock. Ben boarded one of the helicopters with Kenji and Sammy, but before Brooklynn, Yaz and Darius can join them, Rexy appeared at the dock and attacked, killing the mercenary Hansen while the pilot takes off in a hasty retreat, leaving the other three campers behind to evade Rexy by themselves. Later, as the pilot tries to rendezvous with the rest of the other mercenaries, their helicopter was attacked by a flock of Pteranodons. Recalling from experience, Ben and Kenji urged the pilot to turn the lights off, which she does. The three are shocked that to learn that they have been stranded for 6 months. Even though it saved them from the Pteranodons, their helicopter still crashes when the pilot, after being distracted, veers it too hard to avoid collision with a Brachiosaurus; however, Ben, Kenji and Sammy survived. They later reunite with Darius and Yaz, but were later informed that Brooklynn was held hostage by Dr. Wu's mercenaries.

"Stay on Mission"

They come up with a plan to rescue Brooklynn and give Wu's laptop back, albeit with all of his research copied on a flash drive, while the research on his laptop are wiped out. With the aid of Bumpy and her herd, the campers managed to rescue Brooklynn and Wu's laptop was destroyed. Afterwards, Ben sadly says goodbye to Bumpy and the others join in on saying goodbye. When Bumpy goes back to her herd, Ben smiles. Ben and the others then leave the island on Mitch and Tiff's boat, but are unaware that there is something on the boat that roars in the last scene.

Season 4

"Beneath the Surface"

Ben is happy that they are heading home. When the boat gets stuck in kelp, Darius goes in the water to remove it, while Ben, Yaz and Sammy have a rope tied to Darius to pull him back. However, when Darius is tailed by a shark and the shark by something else, Ben remarks that it's the Mosasaurus. While Darius gets stuck in kelp and the rope breaks, Ben, Yaz, and Sammy successfully get Darius back on the boat with assistance from Kenji. The campers are then attacked by the Mosasarous, which would lead to Ben and the others being stranded on a new island. The six go into a cave in order to possibly find shelter for the night.

"At Least…"

After Ben sees something shiny, he suggests they check it out. While the other are hesitant, Ben gives a speech how they can survive, and how easy this can be since there are no dinosaurs here. Convinced, the others agree with Ben and all head out. The group wanders into a desert as a sandstorm begins to form, with Brooklynn and Kenji being seperated. Ben and the others look for them, but are unabe to find them. Following the end of the sandstorm, Ben still tries to look for them, but to no avail. Unable to find them, Ben feels guilty and blames himself, but becomes overjoyed when Brooklynn and Kenji find them. Ben and the others then discover the shiny thing, only to find that it i just a metal rectangle. Everyone, particularly Ben, are upset. Later, that night, Ben wakes up, as he hears something, with the others then waking up. They then encounter a saber-toothed tiger in a bush. Ben runs away to distract the tiger while the group departs to help Ben. At a dead-end, Ben fights the tiger, but Kenji catches up and they manage to scare the tiger away. Ben becomes upeset that his old scared self has returned, but is comforted by the others who tells him how they were saved by him. The next morning, the group find an invisible wall which opens to reveal a metal hallway, much to their shock.

"Turning Dr. Turner"

At the other end of the hallway, the group finds themselves in a forest. After avoiding two T-Rexes, they encounter Dr. Mae Turner, who is studying how dinosaurs interact with one another. She lives on the island and is not able to interact with the outside world because she does not have a phone. Due to their experiences with Mitch and Tiff, combined with them learning that Mae works for Mantah Corp, Ben, Yaz, Brooklynn and Kenji go outside to the spot Mae told them not to go, while Darius and Sammy stay back and ask Mae questions. Knowing that Kenji likes Brooklynn, Yaz keeps Ben occupied by asking him about Bumpy, but Ben is unaware of Yaz's actions. The four encounter a BRAD, a robot that kills the Compy from the boat because it is an "unauthorized lifeform" on the island. Mae stops BRAD before it finds the rest of the group. When Mae later goes to monitor the T. rex mother, Big Eatie and his daughter Little Eatie eating habits, Sammy and Darius follow her, while Ben stays back with Yaz, Brooklynn and Kenji. Yaz tries to get Ben away from Brooklynn and Kenji to give Kenji some alone time with Brooklynn, but Ben is unware of what she is doing and stays with them. A BRAD then enters and comes close to killing Ben and Yaz, but both are saved by Kenji who destroys it. Ben who falsely thinks Yaz likes him tells her he does not feel the same way, much to her confusion, but she plays along.

"Rude Awakening"

After Mae discovers that Mantah Corp is tampering with the food to make the dinosaurs more aggressive, everyone comes up with a plan to call the supply plane and get rid of the altered food, in order to get off the island and stop Mantah Corp. Ben and the others are chased by the mother T-rex Big Eatie and then BRADS, but escape into a cold and snowy biome. where they encounter the Kentrosaurus named Pierce. Despite wanting to catch the plane, the group agrees to help get Pierce out of this area, upon Darius's request. While they are attacked by a BRAD, a frightened Yaz successfully hits it into the water. After saving Pierce, the 6 campers run to the plane, but unfortunately arrived too late. Darius and Ben head back to Mae.

"The Long Game"

In the tunnels, Ben, Darius and Mae try to diagnose Pierce when he suddenly becomes agitated. Dr. Turner uses her tablet to calm the dinosaur, while promising to bring him home. In the desert biome, Ben helps Mae carry Pierce, as they discuss their research on dinosaur communication. After everyone regroups, Sammy reveals that a man named Kash who is on the island, is the one blackmailed her family. Fortunately, Ben and the others stop Sammy from confronting him. While Kash turns the BRADs against Mae and orders them to kill her, Ben and the others save her. However, they are then surrounded by a pack of Velociraptors, with one injuring Mae. Fortunately, they are all saved when Sammy then uses one of the damaged BRADs to injure and scare off the raptors. The other 5 then take Mae to an area where they won't be found, while Ben keeps watch of Kash and notices that he has a phone.

"Mission Critical"

Ben tries to help a wounded Mae, while the others try to get Kash's phone and call for help. When Ben tries to tend to Mae's wounds, he unintentionally hurts her in the process, which leads to Mae reacting by punching him in the face. Ben later regroups with the other 5. When Big Eatie and Pierce are drawn to drones and are forced to fight, he and the other campers come up with a plan to lure Kash away, stop the fight, and get the phone. Ben, Sammy and Yaz cause an explosion, which lures Kash out of his compound, while Darius snakes inside to get his phone, but Darius ends up being captured by Kash.

"Staying Alive"

Ben and the others wonder why Darius hasn't stopped the fight. Following Brooklynn's advice, they begin destroying the drones to stop the fight, but luckily, Darius convinces Kash to stop the fight. Ben and the others witness Kash capture Darius and take him to the infirmary. After telling Mae, she tells them that there is a platform that will take them to the medical bay and they head there. As Ben and the others are chased by the Spinosaurus and the saber-toothed tiger, Spino inadvertently saves them and kills the tiger, and they then escape and go down to the medical bay. After meeting with Darius, Darius says he wants to stay behind and act as a spy. While Ben is against this because he believes Kash will kill him just like he tried to kill Mae, Darius ends up staying.

"Technical Difficulties"

Ben and the others have Brooklynn reprogram an upgraded BRAD-X so they can communicate with Darius. After Brooklynn successfully does so, the group is able to communicate with Darius.

After the Brachio gets away and is captured by some BRAD-X's, Ben becomes scared. He becomes horrified after witnessing Kash inject the control chip on the baby Brachiosaurus. Ben runs back to the others and says he is not going to leave another dinosaur. Ben comes up with a plan to trap Kash and tells Darius. While complicated by a pack of Pteranodons, Ben and Darius succesfully lead Kash into their trap. While Ben tries to have the BRAD-X shock Kash, the plan fails as the BRAD-X is unable to shock him. Ben then uses the device Mae uses to communicate with the dinosaurs to lure Kash into Mae's place. Ben and Darius trap Kash inside and head back to the group. Ben has now formed a bond with the baby Brachiosaurus and named her Firecracker, and says she and Bumpy would have gotten along and then states he thinks Bumpy forgot about him.

"Who's the Boss?"

Ben and Mae head to the Medbay so Mae can remove the control chip from Firecracker. Ben and Mae argue over how to bond with dinosaurs, with Ben not liking Mae saying how science and facts allows you to know about dinosaurs. Mae successfully removes the chip from Firecracker, much to Ben's happiness. Darius and Kenji later tell Ben and Mae that Kash who is free, and his boss (president of Mantah Corp) plan to take Pierce to a new biome and use him as food. Ben and Mae head to rescue Pierce. After rescuing Pierce, Ben destroys some BRADs, but is pursued by more. Ben, Mae and Pierce get on the platform, which rises. Ben wonders why the BRADs aren't attacking. After getting back up, the three are reunited with Ben and Kenji who are being pursued by a pack of Dilophosaurus. After being saved by Brooklynn, Yaz and Sammy, who scare off the Dilophosaurus, Ben is shocked to learn that Kenji and Brooklynn are a couple. However, Ben, like the rest, is not sure if he can trust Mr. Kon and they go to the infirmary where Mae is recovering from her injuries, to see what she thinks about Daniel. When they see that Big Eatie is not eating because Little Eatie is strange, they tell this to Kenji, at the same time that he explains that Daniel will continue with the fights. The next day, Ben and Yaz act as bait to lure Little Eatie to Big Eatie, and the two Rexes reunite happily, and seem to be successful in convincing Daniel not to make them fight. That night Ben joins everyone at a sleepover.

"The Final Test"

In the morning having breakfast, Ben informs Darius and Brooklynn that he saw Mr. Kon in the jungle, when he decides to accompany them to keep an eye on him, bringing Firecracker. Walking to a facility they find Mae and tell her where Daniel is, but she makes an excuse to order the children to go to daycare, which they reluctantly do. Confused by the strange way Mae acted, they go to the daycare to look for information. They sneak in, evading an ABRAD who was watching Kash, discovering that he is not there. They went to the forest biome, discovering that Daniel has made Mae work with Kash to create the chips, which controls Big Eatie, and they return to tell Kenji. However, in their way are the raptors and Little Eatie sent by Daniel to keep them away, although they managed to evade them. When they return they find Kenji talking to the investors.

"Battle Lines"

The next day, Ben and the others try to explain the truth about Daniel to Kenji, but he doesn't believe it and even blames Brooklynn for standing him up on their date, but Ben defends her. The group decides to try to get to the bottom of the situation. Following Kash and Mae, Ben with Brooklynn sneaks into the facility in a box to communicate with Mae. She gives them radios to use against the chips and destroy them. Upon returning, they are confronted by Kenji who was waiting for them in the lobby. He explains that his father tries to save the dinosaurs like them, but Ben and the others are not convinced. Knowing that this will change with everyone with Kenji, they decide to do it anyway for his sake. They head to the forest biome via the feeding platform, arriving just as the dinosaur fights begin. While the rest free Big Eatie and the raptors, Ben manages to free the Spinosaurus with the radio, causing the Spino to devour Cyrus. Arriving at the forest, Ben and the rest talk again about Kenji and his betrayal before being interrupted by an earthquake, due to the drill below being knocked out of alignment by the fight between the dinosaur and BRAD.

"Shaky Ground"

Ben accompanies Brooklynn, Sammy and Yaz to turn off the drones. In Kash's office, they turn them off and then reactivate a drone that was sent to Nublar in season 3, using it to discover what Mr. Kon is planning, seeing Kenji controlling Toro. Afterwards, they go to inform Brooklynn, who is heartbroken by Kenji's alleged betrayal, and Ben comforts her. They inform him that Daniel is going to make the mind control chips to sell to Biosyn, but they must destroy them before he returns. However, it is interrupted by another earthquake and Ben hides under the furniture. Later that night, they help Big Eatie by removing the fallen tree.

"Out of the Pack"

The next day, having breakfast in Mae's cave, Ben decides to go with Darius and Brooklynn to delete the files instead of destroying the chips. With Darius, he distracts the BRAD-X while Brooklynn sneaks into the office, but they don't make it that long. But finally Brooklynn, turned off all BRAD and changed the password. Afterwards they join Yaz and Sammy at the campfire roasting marshmallows.

"The Leap"

The episode begins with the campers drinking hot chocolate, as they ponder what to do next. Darius decides to create a watering hole for the dinosaurs on Mantah Corp Island. Meanwhile, the rest are in charge of filling the watering hole. Ben and Yaz escort the Sino-Spino to the forest biome, with Pierce. They then look for Firecracker, and after finding her, they decide to take the herbivores to the watering hole with berries. As they walk, Ben discovers that Yaz likes Sammy. Continuing to walk, Ben and Yaz see that Firecracker is missing and look for her, while Yaz continues talking about her feelings, they finally find the baby Brachiosaurus in the swamp, just as they come across a pair of Dilophosaurus. Fleeing from the carnivores, they evade their poison, while escaping through the mangroves. They carefully lead the herbivores the rest of the way to Sammy's already prepared watering hole and they all play in the new watering hole.

"The Core"

Ben is with the Sino-Spino at the watering hole, while trying to calm Angel that Yaz will return soon, just when he notices that she comes running and jumps on him. They laugh and take a moment to be thankful for being out of danger. Yaz informs her that she will tell Sammy how she feels about her while they watch her feed the Rexes. Ben encourages Yaz as she approaches, although they are interrupted by the pair of Rexes feeding. As the Rexes leave, she attempts to say the words, only to be interrupted again by Darius and Brooklynn. As the group gathers, Brooklynn records footage of the group for posterity, as they recount their various adventures and personal growth. As the conversation turns to Kenji, Darius brings up the point that they need to be proactive for when Daniel Kon returns to the island. The group heads back to the maintenance corridors as they make a plan, try to catch them when they arrive.

However, the doors close on their own, when a sudden alarm sounds throughout the complex. Brooklynn determines that the entire system is malfunctioning, they run outside and see a warning error indicating that a geothermal power malfunction has occurred. Realizing that the core has been compromised, the group runs to the drain and attempt to fix the problem. As the group approaches, they detect a noxious odor and find a damaged BRAD-X. The earthquakes increase in frequency as they get closer to the core, when Brooklynn realizes that the core was overheating because it was not aligned. Meanwhile, they hear noises and realize it's the Nothosaurus. The dinosaur lunges at the group, but collapses due to the noxious fumes. The children flee, realizing that if the gas pressure becomes too intense, the island will explode. The kids quickly drag the Nothosaurus out of the area, while they regroup, think of a plan, and gather materials to suppress the gas.

Sammy, Yaz, and Ben are tasked with bringing the Nothosaurus to the swamp biome, while Brooklynn and Darius try to seal the gas leak and return the core to its normal stability. Heading upstairs, Yaz asks Ben for some private time to tell Sammy how he really feels about her. Just as he confesses, the Nothosaurus wakes up and begins attacking them in the confined space. The trio barely manage to evade him in the elevator as they board it, giving them plenty of time when they reach ground level. When the Nothosaurus shakes them off, he is slightly stunned, but is distracted by the approach of a Dilophosaurus, killing the other predator and giving the children time to run.

Arriving somewhere safe, the kids take a breather as Sammy and Yaz catch up on their feelings, while Ben steps away for privacy. Sammy confesses that he feels the same way, as the two kiss, just as the rest of the group arrives and cheers them on. At that moment, they see the perimeter drone activate while they witness the arrival of Daniel Kon's people. The group is horrified to see the dinosaurs being unloaded from the trucks, especially when they see Kenji helping them. As they leave Ben hears the sound of a familiar dinosaur, he turns around and to his shock and horror, sees that it is his captured and controlled dinosaur friend, Bumpy.

"Arrival"

The campers run through the jungle while trying to come up with a plan. Upon arriving at the facility, they see Daniel, Kenji, Hawkes and the other mercenaries enter a building. Ben points out that Hawkes is now part of the enemy group. They continue to watch as Daniel learns about the destruction of the chips and blueprints. Daniel informs Hawkes and Kenji that there is a backup drive hidden in a BRAD and that they need to reactivate it and find the right one. The campers quickly decide on a plan with Ben following Kenji, to save Bumpy and the rest by searching for the flash drive. Ben finds two of the twins playing with the controllers to manipulate and torture Tonto and Bumpy. Kenji sneaks up behind him, and Ben throws him to the ground, very angry at Kenji for how he could let his father capture Bumpy, he swears that he tried to stop him from doing it, but Ben wonders why he should believe him, and Kenji Since he knows that he doesn't trust, he says that he doesn't know. Kenji assures Ben that he will help get Bumpy back.

While Kenji distracts the twins, Ben approaches Bumpy and tries to get her to eat some berries, but due to the chip the dinosaur cannot move. Kenji tells her to use the controller, but Ben doesn't want to control her and Bumpy approaches them menacingly when they see that the twins have returned. The mercenaries force Bumpy to attack them both while the children run for their lives. Kenji tries to attack them, but is grabbed while Ben is cornered by Bumpy. Almost defeated, Kenji tries to free himself but can't. Ben makes one last plea to Bumpy, but just then, Bumpy manages to resist the mind control, and Kenji takes advantage of the moment to break the controller. Now free, Bumpy and Ben happily reunite and attack the twins, expelling them from the containment area. They return to the others in the forest, to the surprise of the rest that Kenji has returned.

"The Last Stand"

Everyone angry at Kenji for his apparent betrayal, Ben intervenes saying that Kenji did screw up, which means he doesn't take his actions seriously. Ben then uses stronger words like Kenji betrayed them and really let them down, even saying that he left them for dead, much to Kenji's horror, who reminds Ben that he never got that far. Ben then says that Kenji realized he made a mistake and risked his life to help him save Bumpy, and for him that is enough for a second chance and that they will need all the help they can get. The group runs to the watering hole, and Ben with Brooklynn tries to distract the bad guys, while the rest try to get the dinosaurs in the watering hole to move. But they return soon for not keeping them too long and decide to fight. Ben and with the help of Bumpy, manage to defeat and chase away Limbo the Baryonyx. Ben is horrified with his friends when he saw that Daniel defeated Big Eatie with the controlled Spinosaurus.

"The Nublar Six"

Seeing no other option, the children decide to leave the island. Ben quickly runs with the others towards the docks, but they are separated by the ambush of the controlled dinosaurs. Then Ben and the rest of the group made Daniel believe that the power core that connects the entire island is exploding, forcing him to leave, and their plan succeeded. Later, everyone received the alert that someone arrived on the island, but to their relief it was their former advisors, Dave and Roxie, accompanied by Mae and Brandon, Darius's brother. Ben was rescued and returned home happily meeting his mother, who gave him many kisses, and was possibly very proud that her son had overcome his fears.

In 2018, Ben, now older and with long hair, spends the summer with Mae and Bumpy on Mantah Corp Island, now secretly a sanctuary. He's on the video call, explaining to his friends that his parents let him spend time there and that Mae had called them, and even thanks Kenji for keeping the island running, before saying goodbye.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory

Between 2021 and 2022, Ben began his college courses at Delaney University. During his time at university, he received a visit from Brooklynn in the middle of the night while he was sleeping calling him on his phone, and he had the opportunity to catch up on his journalistic investigations, while Ben pointed out pteranodons flying from the buildings on campus, mentioning that one grabbed a student's backpack. Sometime later, he began seriously investigating the Dark Jurassic website. Upon learning of Brooklynn's apparent death, Ben would delve deeper into Dark Jurassic and become absorbed in various conspiracy theories about dinosaurs. Then he began to receive many messages from an anonymous person on the web, seeing these as threatening messages for him and his friends. By this time, Ben had apparently became romantically involved with a girlfriend that he claimed lived in Europe.

Season 1

"Aftershock"

Convinced that Brooklynn's death was not an accident, Ben drove to California to Darius' cabin to try to show him his evidence and warn him. Darius mistook him for an intruder when he knocked on the door and attempted to attack him with a stun gun. However, Ben managed to grab the stun gun before it hit him. The two hug and Darius tried to get Ben to go with him to chase the Allosaurus. The two are very sorry for Brooklynn's death, and Ben assured her that her death was not her fault, speculating that her death was not a random attack but that she was attacked. He shows Darius some data that he managed to obtain from the website, Darius however is not believing what he is talking about, much less showing him the threatening messages that were deleted. But he reveals that they and their friends are being hunted, the ones who could be behind Brooklynn's death. Just then, the cabin is assaulted by an Atrociraptor, which bursts through the window. The dinosaur attacks the duo in the house, although Darius and Ben manage to electrocute the dinosaur along with another and escape from the cabin. When they managed to escape, they saw another outside the cabin, and he pounced on them.

"Rest Stop"

They manage to evade the raptor briefly before crashing into the car. Darius realizes that he left the keys in the cabin, so they put the car in neutral even as the car is attacked by the Atrociraptor. When the car collapsed, they jumped out and then ran towards Ben's truck, narrowly managing to evade the carnivore and drive away. Darius identifies that the Atrociraptors were not from the dinosaurs freed from Lockwood Manor, which Ben takes as proof that they are being hunted. Ben convinces him to warn Kenji, Sammy and Yaz, starting with visiting Sammy. Darius prepares to call her, but Ben throws his phone away saying she's traceable. While driving, Ben has a flashback to when Brooklynn visited him in University. He then breaks off when he notices a car behind him and is convinced they are being followed. Ben speeds up to try to avoid his pursuers, however, they are forced to stop due to a herd of Nasutoceratops crossing the road. The car chasing them ends up passing them as they breathe a sigh of relief. Ben is forced to stop at a gas station due to the need to refill the van's gas tank. When they enter the gas station, they find another Nasutoceratops resting. Ben goes out to fill up the gas tank, as he sees a man talking on the phone, thinking he is talking about them, just as he is scared by Darius.

Darius pays the gas station attendant, who informs him that he already tried calling the Department of Prehistoric Wildlife, but the phone line was jammed. The gas station attendant, Mo, recognizes them as two of the Nublar Six. As Ben and Darius argue about not trusting him, the Nasutoceratops wakes up and its horns get stuck in the gas station's pipe, threatening the structure.

The two try to calm the situation, while Ben comforts the stressed Nasutoceratops. Ben hands him a packet of crisps to distract the dinosaur while they try to free the horns. Just then, the rest of the herd arrives and the stressed dinosaur breaks the pipes, causing a gas spill just as the gas catches fire. The two free the Nasutoceratops just as the attendant returns with the extinguisher and Ben manages to catch the extinguisher, putting out the flames before further damage is done to the gas station. The Nasutoceratops rejoins the herd and, in gratitude, the manager gives them free snacks for the journey.

"Down on the Ranch"

Arriving at Sammy's ranch, they smell smoke, and the two run into the cabin, but discover that Sammy was burning his pie. Sammy greets them with a hug and shows them around. As they try to warn him, Sammy leads them to the ranch's pasture, where they find Bumpy wandering freely in the pasture. Ben runs to her and hugs her. Sammy explains that Bumpy was taken from Mantah Corp Island before the formal investigation into the various illegal activities taking place there. Just then, a car approaches them, but not before Bumpy crashes into it, sending it into a tailspin. Carl staggers out and is almost attacked by Bumpy before Sammy stops her. Carl threatens Sammy and Bumpy, and Ben steps in to defend them. After a few tense moments, Carl leaves.

Sammy runs back to the house before they can warn her, and they run after her. In the kitchen, Ben warns Sammy that they are being chased, like they were with Brooklynn, and Sammy agrees to go with them. Ben and Darius go to check on Bumpy while Sammy goes to check the fuse box when they notice the power went out. They find Carl's truck, and think he was the one who turned off the power, but they discover that something has killed him. When an Atrociraptor approaches, the two hide, while Darius goes to find Sammy, Ben goes to free Bumpy. Trying to free Bumpy, he hides in the barn before an Atrociraptor approaches. Managing to evade the dinosaur, he quickly traps it temporarily, while freeing Bumpy. Finally, they manage to escape in the van, on the way to their next destination. They plan to visit Yaz and Kenj, using a map Sammy found in Brooklynn's jacket. They notice an unknown name on the map and wonder where he was going just before he died.

"Brothers"

Ben confesses that he's nervous about Bumpy, but Darius calms him down. Darius finally agrees that they are being hunted. They pull over to the side as they watch the DPW trucks carrying dinosaurs down the road, and Darius sees the half-blind Allosaurus among them. Just as they begin to move forward, some Parasaurolophus cross the street. The group arrives at Kenji's house and reveals that he lives in a caravan, noting that his father lost all the money when he went to prison. They try to knock on the door without getting a response, but Kenji surprises them from behind and Sammy accidentally knocks them down. Kenji greets Ben and Sammy, but reacts coldly to Darius and closes the door in his face.

Kenji tells him about his new business as a climbing instructor. Ben warns Kenji about the danger, but he initially doesn't make him believe it. They show Kenji the map, but he has no idea what it represents, but he reveals to them that the location marked on the map is where his father lives. When the group feels the trailer shake, they initially panic, but it turns out to be a nearby herd of Parasaurolophus running by. Ben initially suspects Daniel Kon, but Kenji claims that his father was placed in a halfway house after being released from prison and that he is too guarded to be responsible. Kenji storms out of the trailer after refusing to talk to his father, and heads into the woods. Sammy grabs Ben's keys to go find Yaz, and Ben goes with her, leaving Darius to go after Kenji.

"Halfway Home"

Ben and Sammy drive to Yaz's house as Sammy unsuccessfully tries to contact her despite Ben's protests. They arrive at a roadside attraction King Dino's Prehistoric Playland to buy supplies. They are stunned to see a destroyed gyrosphere on display, just as the owner, Bobby Nublar, announces himself to the crowd. He pulls a Stygimoloch on a leash, as the doors reveal that two others are also on a leash. Sammy and Ben protest the treatment of the dinosaurs and decide to free them. Sammy and Ben sneak into the backstage area of the attraction where they watch the hervivors. Sammy goes to get the lockpick while Ben stays with them. When she returns, she is angry at him after seeing that he considered her a suspect on his conspiracy board. Sammy becomes upset upon hearing this and they argue just as they try to free the dinosaurs. The Stygimoloch go crazy just as they panic about what to do. Just at that moment, Bobby Nublar enters the venue.

Bobby tries to attack Sammy, just as Ben frees the Stygimoloch. The Stygimoloch escape from their enclosure, causing chaos as they break free. Ben is attacked by Bobby, but Sammy manages to defend himself. The Stygimoloch headbutt him before breaking free into the wild. Sammy and Ben quickly drive away as fast as they can in the truck.

"Free Fall"

Ben and Sammy continue driving while Sammy is finally able to have a conversation with his girlfriend. They inform her that they will come to visit her. After the call, Sammy confides in Ben that she's worried Yaz is still dealing with her PTSD. They arrive at a guardhouse that leads to a protected island, marked as a "Dinosaur Free Zone." They are allowed entry to the island as the doors close behind them. Yaz greets them both when they arrive on the Island. Ben and Sammy try to convince her to come with them because they are in danger and are chasing them. However, Yaz believes that they might be safer on the Island. Yaz shows the two of them around the Island and explains that after the incident at Big Rock, a market for dinosaur-free zones appeared. The Island is intended to be a place for people to recover from dinosaur-related trauma.

Yaz shows them the Island's defenses and shows them a hologram simulating several dinosaurs, which is used for therapy. Sammy tries again to convince Yaz to come with them, but Ben blurts out that they are being chased by someone who uses dinosaurs to hunt them, like they did with Brooklynn. Yaz gets angry because Sammy didn't tell her sooner and the two start arguing. Sammy storms off, leaving Ben and Yaz to talk.

As Ben and Yaz talk about their relationship problems, they hear a dinosaur roaring in the distance. A Becklespinax emerges from the trees and chases them. Ben and Yaz run to the truck, a civilian tries to get in, but is devoured by the dinosaur. As Ben walks away, Yaz tries to call Sammy. However, Sammy walks away towards the tunnel that leads off the island, just as Ben's truck heads towards her, still pursued by the carnivore. Yaz catches up to Sammy, but the Becklespinax rams the car, trying to enter the vehicle. Sammy manages to get in while the Becklespinax is still trying to break through. Ben reverses the car, trying to escape, however they are forced to stop due to a second Becklespinax blocking the exit. Cornered, they see the DPW agents arrive, but discover that they are trying to hit the truck and not the Becklespinax. As Ben tries to escape, the Becklespinax pushes the truck over the bridge, and both the truck and the dinosaur fall into the water.

"That Night"

Waking up inside underwater, they see the Becklespinax outside the van. The carnivore continues to attack them, causing more water to flood inside. The group realizes that trying to stop the leak is futile and that they cannot get through or out of the vehicle without help. When Becklespinax boards the van to reach the surface, it collides with an underwater pole and a door opens, completely flooding the vehicle. The group takes this opportunity to escape and swim to the surface. As the group catches their breath on the surface, they are grateful to be alive. Sammy and Yaz realize their phones are too damaged by water and Ben throws them away. They watch from a hiding place as DPW agents force the Becklespinax back into the trailer. Sammy, Yaz and Ben hide in the truck, to follow them and find out why they tried to kill them.

"The Drop"

With Ben, Sammy and Yaz snuck into the back of the DPW truck and forced to hide next to the sedated Becklespinax. Yaz tries to take a look outside the truck and steps on the dinosaur to do so, but can't determine any landmarks. However, when he lands back next to the others, he alerts the other Becklespinax in the second compartment, and it roars at the group.

When the Becklespinax starts ramming inside, the truck stops. The group hides while the DPW unloads the Becklespinax couple. They manage to evade the DPW and hide under the truck while the DPW officers are berated by their supervisor. The group decides to try to find a phone. However, when the lights come on, you can see some DPW holding pens with lots of dinosaurs. Just then, they are interrupted by a man in a cowboy hat, who tells them that they are not allowed to be there. He recognizes them, stating that he hired Darius and introduces himself as Dudley Cabrera, regional director of the DPW. He denies having anything to do with the DPW officers who tried to kill them and claims to guide them to safety. However, Sammy knocks him down and they run.

They hide among the boxes in the cargo area and manage to find Bumpy trapped in a cage. Bumpy acts agitated and Ben uses the key to open the cage. Sammy and Yaz provide a distraction while Ben tries to free Bumpy. Ben opens Bumpy's door, but is forced to hide with her. He hides in the truck carrying Bumpy, and Sammy and Yaz see the truck driving away and decide to chase him.

"Into the Fog"

The DPW truck containing Bumpy and Ben is loaded into a warehouse for the DPW dock facility, and Ben hides just before the door opens and Bumpy is unloaded. Ben overhears the guards mention that Bumpy will be on the next ship that leaves. Coming out of hiding, Ben meets up with the others, as he tells them to come to Bumpy's aid and they all run to his cage. Ben and Kenji work together to open the cage, while running to Bumpy's side. After a tense moment, it is revealed that Bumpy has laid an egg, and the group rejoices. Just then, they confront Dudley Cabrera, who threatens them with an electric wand.

"The End of the Beginning"

He claims that they will be fine if they do what he says, but admits to being behind the smuggling operation. Cabrera also admits to setting up the scene with Brooklynn, but insists he did not intend to kill her. He claims to know nothing about the Atrociraptors when Darius confronts him. He also admits to sending the threats in Dark Jurassic, and hints that if they don't cooperate, he will harm them all and cover it up. Cabrera wants them to drop the investigation and orders Darius to return to work for the DPW to give the organization credibility. Ben attacks him, but Dudley manages to grab the cattle prod and stun him, causing him to fall. Sammy uses his capoeira to knock Cabrera unconscious while the group escapes. However, the group discovers that they are locked in the building as they try to escape.

The front loading dock opens as the Atrociraptors Handler appears, and Dudley arrives to greet her. He sends her away, claiming he doesn't want to clean up any more of her messes, and tries to get Jensen to walk her out. However, Jensen tells Dudley that he has never been in control, and the Handler blows her whistle, summoning the Atrociraptors. The Handler whispers to Jensen, who reveals to Dudley before leaving that his "boss" doesn't like loose ends. Dudley evades the Atrociraptors briefly and tries to plead for his life, but is killed by the captors.

As the woman is about to leave, one of the Atrociraptors turns around and alerts the Handler. She blows the whistle again and the kidnappers pursue the group as they flee. The group is cornered by the kidnappers on a high walkway. Just as the raptors are about to attack, a truck bursts into the warehouse, collapsing the walkway and causing both humans and raptors to scramble. The driver is revealed to be Mateo, who runs to help the group.

Just as they are about to leave, a Suchomimus breaks free from its container and chases after the group. In the confusion, several dinosaurs break free from their containers and proceed to attack the DPW agents. The Suchomimus and a Carnotaurus fight, which unlocks the Tyrannosaurus rex container. The Rex roars and an explosion occurs as he knocks over some barrels in his escape. The group tries to run, but they find themselves cornered between the Atrociraptors and the Rex. The Rex distracts one of the Atrociraptors while the group flees from the other two. Finally, all the raptors attack the Rex. However, the group is cornered again by the raptors and Darius is forced to free the half-blind Allosaurus, using himself as bait to attack the other animals. The Rex defeats the four animals and roars in triumph.

As the group leaves the shelter, they see the woman, who is whistling again, but her Atrociraptors are too injured. Seeing that the police also arrive, he stops the attack and orders the kidnappers to leave, and the group takes the opportunity to escape. Behind the group, the ship prepares to depart as the group realizes that the Broker is a superior boss to the Handler. The group decides to get on the boat to get to the bottom of all this. Mateo leaves, but wishes the group well, Ben entrusts him to the care of Bumpy and his egg. The group sneaks onto the ship, determined to follow it to its destination.

Physical Appearance

Ben has brown hair and blue eyes. He initially wears a light blue button up shirt, tan cargo shorts, and brown shoes. He uses a Fanny pack filled with snacks and hand sanitizer until he falls off the Monorail in Season 1. When he was stranded in the jungle he didn’t have his Fanny pack with him. In Season 2 and on, Ben sports a style that’s similar to John Rambo from the Rambo series, wearing a white tank top and formerly had face camo. He also uses his blue shirt as a bandana.

In the flashforward in the series finale, Ben is wearing a red shirt and has long hair.

In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, Ben has grown significantly and is now the tallest member of the Nublar Six, something that Ben admits he's still getting used to.

Personality

At first, Ben is a guest sensitive and bookish boy who is not much for the outdoors. Timid, anxious, and easily startled, he suffers from a wide variety of fears (both rational and irrational) and much prefers a quieter pace. That said, he is also a kind and empathetic boy, bonding with a newly hatched Ankylosaurus whom he named Bumpy and quickly becoming very fond of her. Despite his many fears and the terrors of the island, Ben grew braver and more assertive to the point where he actually stood his ground and argued with his fellow campers about Bumpy tagging along and culminated in his heroic act of getting to the driver's cab of the monorail to correct their course despite being clearly terrified during the whole experience and risking certain death to do so. Ben is also very health conscious as he eschews regular confectionery in favor of health food and has shown disdain for caffeine. He also exhibits germaphobia and (prior to meeting Bumpy) zoophobia.

However, ever since his fall and abandonment by his friends, Ben has learned to adjust to the wild and toughened because of this. At first, he had trouble surviving due to his several phobias preventing him from actually accomplishing anything, along with his growing impatience of Bumpy’s daily routine of stealing Ben’s bed and preventing him from sleeping. He finally broke down after realizing he was on his own, causing him to send Bumpy away in a fit of rage, a mistake he realized fully after seeing Bumpy’s lack of presence. Due to this, Ben began to harden, finally letting go of his phobias and finally learned how to truly survive the jungle, later defeating Toro with the help of a now grown Bumpy.

Ever since this event transpired, Ben has abandoned his shy and weak demeanor, now possessing the behavior of a wild survivalist. He frequently refers to the other campers as kids, due to his belief they are less experienced, but is nonetheless happy to be reunited with his friends. He surprisingly holds no grudge against them for abandoning him, apparently understanding their reason for this, although whether or not there is more to this than he lets on is unknown. He was less surprised to see the group, only calmly and slightly awkwardly greeting them, but was still happy to see them.

Ben also appears to have developed a somewhat sadistic and violent streak, as he constantly suggested feeding Hap, Mitch, and Tiff to the carnivores dinosaurs and was willing to electrocute Hap out of high mistrust, showing a bit of a merciless trait as well to his enemies. Darius comments on Ben being rather disturbing by his behavior.

By the start of the third season, Ben grows to be more reclusive from the group’s social interactions, and mainly hung around with Bumpy, whom he had become incredibly close with since arriving on Isla Nublar. While still caring about his friends, he grows to be more secretive around everyone else, no longer as willing to talk about what he’s going, and more frustrated with Darius’ attempts to talk with him. This is due to his adaption on the island, for he now is more used to living in the jungle now and has a fear of leaving Bumpy behind, as he feels that he may not be ready to leave her on Isla Nublar yet. He especially is protective of Bumpy because of this, which only continues to strengthen his attachment to her. Due to his time in the jungle, Ben is now used to being alone and appears to still believe the campers’ friendship with each other will dissolve once they leave the island, hence why he isn't as friendly with them anymore and is more secretive with his whereabouts. As tensions rise on the island, Ben eventually grows to be disillusioned with the idea of living with civilization again, since he has grown used to the jungle, and in the process decides to stay on Isla Nublar with Bumpy. He reveals that he feels as if he belongs on the island, and feels as if he is his best version of himself as a survivalist. This results in him starting to aggressively fight with Darius, although this ends when he witnessed Bumpy with a herd of Ankylosaurus. He realizes that Bumpy is better protected with the herd, better than Ben himself ever could, and realizes that Bumpy belongs with her kind in the wild whereas Ben belongs with civilization, accepting that he must let Bumpy go, much to his sadness. However, Ben acknowledges that he considers the island to be his “home,” and decides to not leave it now that the Scorpios are dead, so he initially stays behind when they leave. But he then quickly realizes he wants to go back to shore with the others, now realizing that he can be his newfound self anywhere else and does not need to be in the jungle to be himself.

Season 4 shows Ben's aggressive personality reduce significantly, and a balance of his two personalities. While he is still brave and confident, his overconfidence, erratic and aggressive personality have subsided, and he shows some vulnerability he did back in season 1. He is much more with the group than he was for most of season 3. Despite missing Bumpy, he later develops a bond with a Brachiosaurus he names Firecracker. At the end of the season, he is shocked to learn that Kenji's dad is the president of Mantah Corp.

In season 5, Ben is shown to be supportive of Yaz’s feelings for Sammy and tries to get her to confess, being overjoyed when the two become a couple. He refuses to mind control Bumpy into going with him. He’s also the first to forgive Kenji for his betrayal after he helps Ben save Bumpy.

Ultimately, Ben has come to enjoy the newfound freedom of being relieved of his previous timidity, and enjoys relishing in his new confidence, finally content with himself.

In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, Ben has adapted back to a normal life over the years, even attending college and getting a girlfriend before he realized that the Nublar Six were in danger. However, even in college, Ben is unsure if there's such a thing as normal anymore in the world where humans and dinosaurs are coexisting. Now more easy-going, Ben is far less aggressive, although his aggressive side briefly resurfaces when he discovers Bumpy is in danger. Ben also retains his fondness for and bond with Bumpy. Ben has become something of a conspiracy theorist, coming off as slightly unhinged, paranoid and obsessive as a result, doing things like tossing Darius' cell phone out so that they couldn't be tracked when all he had to do was turn it off and eating out of a boot in the back of his van.

Behind The Scenes

  • Ben was originally going to be the older, athletic one of the group, and the thin, nervous boy was going to be an Asian teenager named Xi. In the final cut, however, Ben and Xi swapped builds and personalities and Xi was renamed Kenji.
  • Originally, Ben was supposed to die when he was snatched by a Pteranodon in season 1, but it was changed as the producers thought that it would be too morbid.
  • Ben's eye color at the end of Camp Cretaceous is an animation error. Ben's eyes are blue for the majority of the show, but in the final scene in Season 5 Episode 12—in which the campers are on a video call several years after returning to the mainland—Ben's eyes are brown. This was fixed in Chaos Theory.[2]

Trivia

  • He is similar with Gray Mitchell since both used a fanny pack in their introductions, until they both lose them during the Jurassic World Incident (Gray gets his fanny pack ripped from him by the Indominus rex's claws, while Ben left his inside the Jurassic World Monorail while dumping out its contents, leaving it behind when a Pteranodon grabbed him.

  • In Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, it is shown that Ben already has a girlfriend, one that he claims lives in Europe. However, the other campers are shown to be dubious of his claim and Ben noticeably hesitates before saying that his girlfriend is in Europe.
