The United States, officially the United States of America, also known as the US, USA or America, is a country located in North America. Its capital city is Washington, D.C.. It is the world's most powerful and richest country, being famously known worldwide, and is considered the world's only superpower after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.The country has a diverse topography, having arid, alpine, tropical and temperate climates in different regions. Famous landmarks include the Grand Canyon, the White House, the Yellowstone National Park and more. The US is rich in wildlife, including animals such as brown bears, bison, moose, mountain lions, bald eagles and alligators.

History

Many events of the Jurassic Park franchise took place in the United States.

In 1997, a male Tyrannosaurus and his infant were transported from Isla Sorna to the mainland, where he went on a rampage in San Diego in search of his infant. This was known as the San Diego Incident and it was how the public became aware of InGen's dinosaurs. Originally, the two animals were supposed to be attractions in Jurassic Park: San Diego, but the plan was set aside after the incident and the two were shipped back to Sorna.

An organization headquartered in San Francisco, Dinosaur Protection Group, was created to protect and advocate the dinosaurs' rights as a species.

In 2018, dinosaurs were taken to the mainland again due to the eruption of Mt. Sibo on Isla Nublar. They were originally going to be reallocated to a sanctuary by Sir Benjamin Lockwood, but businessman Eli Mills auctioned them off instead, which led to them being released into the mainland and spreading worldwide.

After the dinosaurs spread throughout the country, the Department of Fish and Wildlife began to deal with the dinosaur matter.

A locust epidemic was spreading throughout the US in 2022, but it was eradicated after the Biosyn incident and efforts from Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant to prove Biosyn was responsible for it.
