Lion's Den

Lion's Den is a Hills themed level in Kid Chameleon. As the name suggests, Lion enemies patrol the area.

Walkthrough

The level is very linear. Don't waste your time on the lions; just beware of the bottom, as there are several pits, and go fast. There is a fair amount of vertical travel due to the number of cliffs in this level, which can be tricky to get through with the Maniaxe helmet.

Secrets

There are 3 caves, each with a teleporter that takes you back above ground. The first cave is reached by falling down a hole partway down the starting hill and contains an ankh. Another hidden passage, easily found in the cliff after the first lion, is worth the detour; a coin and a clock await you in the p-blocks.

Finally, a slightly larger passageway is reached by moving into the cliff side after the next set of lions. While less profitable, containing just one ankh, there is also a Red Stealth helmet which can help traverse some of the more difficult jumps towards the end of the level.

The teleporters in the underground caves can also be used with the Maniaxe helmet's 50 diamond power and the clock inside the second cave to gain an unlimited number of lives.

Additionally, a hidden micromax helmet can be found at the top of the map, slightly to the left of the first cliff, and can be very helpful in future levels if you hold on to it.
