Megacyma

Megacyma (-atis, n.)[1] (a Graeco μέγας 'magnus' + κῦμα 'unda'), vel vulgo tsunami (indecl., n.) (a Iaponico 津波 tsunami 'portus unda'), est series undarum magnarum quae excitantur cum magnum aquarum corpus repente moveatur. Quod fieri potest per terrae motum, terrae lapsum, et montis igniferi eruptionem in mari aperto factam.
