Gulielmus Olavus, vulgo William Olaf, Stapledon (natus Seacombe prope Wallasey in Cestrensi comitatu Angliae die 10 Maii 1886; mortuus Caldy in proximo eiusdem comitatus die 6 Septembris 1950) fuit philosophus, scriptor mythistoriarum de rebus futuris, auctor librorum commentariorum, et poeta Anglicus.[1][2] Anno 2014 in Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame eius memoria inducta est.

Ultima navium traiectoriarum statio apud Seacombe, vicum ubi Stapledon natus est.

Bello mundano primo, detrectator militiae in exercitu Britannico meruit, cum arceram agitaret. Gradus PhD in philosophia apud Universitatem Liverpoliensi anno 1925 ei concessus est.
