Convergentia technologica est propensitas qua technologiae olim omnino non cognatae artius integrae atque adeo unificatae fiunt cum crescant et progrediantur. Quae notio plerumque cum evolutione convergente vel mutatione technologica in systematibus biologicis congruit, ut, exempli gratia, maiores cetarum hodiernarum magis magisque piscibus forma externa et munere similes fiebant, etsi pisces non erant atque ad stemma piscarium non pertinebant. In convergentia technologica, principale exemplum ad notionem significandam est quod telephona, televisiones, et computatra technologiae separatae et plerumque non cognatae coeperunt, sed multis modis paene in intercognatas industriae telecommunicationum mediorumque partes converserunt, communibus electronicae digitalis corporumque programmatum elementis sustentas.
