Illicium verum (binomen ab Iosepho Dalton Hooker anno 1888 statutum) est species plantarum in Asia orientali sponte gignens, quae fructum aromaticum producit, anisum stellatum saepe appellatum,[1] in cibis et potionibus fortibus necnon medicina utilem. Hanc speciem "anisum Philippinarum" Latine nuncupavit Carolus Clusius qui anno 1601 primam descriptionem divulgavit.
