Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath (27 Octobris 1932—11 Februarii 1963) fuit poetria, scriptor mythistoriarum, et scriptor fabularum brevium Americana. Bostoniae nata, collegia Smithianum in Massachusetta et Newnhamianum Universitatis Cantabrigiensis frequentavit antequam famam poetae et scriptoris accepit. Theodoro Hugues poetae anno 1956 nupsit; in Civitatibus Foederatis et tum Anglia una habitaverunt, et duos liberos peperit: Friedam et Nicolaum. Plath adulta depressione paene semper erat aegra.[1] Sibi mortem conscivit anno 1963.
Plath genus poesis confessionalis insigniter provexit, ac The Colossus and Other Poems et Ariel, duabus congeriebus divulgatis, innotuit. Anno 1982, Praemium Pulitzeranum pro The Collected Poems post mortem accepit. Etiam scripsit The Bell Jar, mythistoriam aliquantum autobiographicam mox ante mortem edidit.[2]
