Claws is a male eagle.
When Claws attempted to eat Timon, Simba chased him off. Enraged by Simba's intervention, Claws teamed up with Harak in order to get rid of Simba and Harak's younger sister, Belee. The plan went underway, but when a bone pile fell on top of Belee and Simba, Claws fled the scene in fear.

Claws lived within or close by the jungle.[1]
Plot against Simba

After meeting and befriending Belee, a young elephant who had lost her herd, Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa agreed to help her find her family. While they were resting in the jungle, Claws attempted to carry Timon away in his talons. His plan was foiled when Simba leaped at him and released Timon from the eagle's grasp. As Claws flew away, he swore revenge on Simba.
Later, after Simba and his friends journeyed to an elephants' graveyard with Belee's herd, Harak noticed Claws hovering over the herd. After realizing that he had been spotted, Claws admitted to Harak that he wanted revenge on Simba. Harak, who was jealous of his sister, made an alliance with Claws so that they could get rid of both Belee and Simba.
Shortly afterward, Simba was playing hide-and-seek with his friends when he saw Harak talking to Claws. Suspicious, he crept closer and overheard them formulating a plan to kill Belee. Fearful for Belee's life, Simba tried to escape but accidentally rattled some bones as he ran away. Harak ordered Claws to get Simba, and the eagle gladly complied. After trapping Simba in a rib cage, he told the cub that he would be back after Harak's sister was dealt with. He then flew away to help play his part in the plan.
As the plan went underway, Claws swooped down on the elephants to create a diversion. He spotted Darann, a dying old elephant, and chose her as his main _target. The plan was successful up until Simba and his friends arrived and thwarted Harak's plot to trap Belee. As an unsuspecting Belee tried to save her brother from Simba, a pile of bones fell on top of her and scared Claws away.[1]
Physical appearance
Claws is a moderately sized eagle. His feathers are brown, his head and wing-tips are white, and his eyes are black with red sclerae.[1]

Claws is cunning, vengeful, and heartless. He was intent on killing Simba after the cub kept him from making a meal out of Timon. Additionally, he is cruel and relentless, as he taunted his prey while hunting it.[1]
