Importing Lutris IDs with a script
edit@Jean-Frédéric: Have you tried reaching out to the devs to get a dump of the Lutris DB? It seems like it should be pretty easy to write a script for importing any Lutris IDs based on Steam App IDs, PCGW IDs, and/or MobyGames IDs. May also be useful for getting data that Wikidata is missing? :) Nicereddy (talk) 03:18, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Nicereddy: That was on the back of my mind (matching through third-IDs) ; but I have not tried to reach out yet (just threw in a Scraper in Mix’n’match, but that would not be the most efficient way). Jean-Fred (talk) 10:59, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- By the way, I remade the Mix’n’match scraper to use the API − it’s conceptually horrendous (regexes to parse the JSON :D) but it works fairly ok :)
- There are now 28,125 games in the catalog, which roughly matches the 28,161 from the API − while there are only 9,094 in the website front-end. I guess the difference is the unpublished games? Still seems like a lot. Jean-Fred (talk) 13:46, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
